A charming lakefront cottage that can accommodate up to 6 guests, making it the perfect vacation spot for families or a romantic getaway. Our cottage is situated on Crotch Lake near a stunning conservation area near Frontenac Park Lands. Crotch Lake has deep blue water with an average clarity depth of 15 feet. Most of the Crotch Lake shoreline is undeveloped and undisturbed.
At "Red Oaks Cottage" you'll be delighted to discover warm water temperatures, and water activities during the summer that make this cottage a fantastic choice for families. The water depth is perfect for diving off the dock, with a water ladder for an easy re-entry. Very popular with kids and adults. You can relax and enjoy the mesmerizing lakefront view from the comfort of the deck, the lounge area or the yoga platform.
The cottage is fully equipped, ensuring that you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It comes with a fire pit, life jackets, yellow canoe, water toys for kids, and a BBQ, which is perfect for summer cookouts. It's your home away from home.
You can immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of the conservation area and enjoy a cozy and comfortable stay at our charming cottage. Hike, bike, or canoe in the multitude of lakes that dot the landscape. Enjoy the infinitely varied beauty of the Canadian Shield during the day and at night gaze upon the Milky Way.
Fishing in Crotch Lake? Here you will find a variety of bass and pike fish, as well as, yellow perch, and brown bullhead and many others!
For canoeing enthusiasts, Crotch Lake is very quiet, and is very easy to explore. Being connected to the Salmon River system means if you have a map or just a strong sense of adventure you can travel for a long time in our quiet pristine waters!
For hiking or biker lovers, we are located minute away from Trans Canada Trail that go miles either direction. Along the path you'll find scenic views to enjoy any time of day.
Located only 90 minutes away from Ottawa, 50 minutes from Kingston and 3 hours from the GTA.
