This charming century old stone cottage/ chalet is a private and quiet retreat nested on top of the first escarpment and offers beautiful views of Georgian Bay and surrounding areas. It is filled with light, warmth and a welcoming ambiance that will remind you of a little house in France. No traffic, no neighbours, just beautiful nature yet... it is located between Thornbuy and Meaford, near Lora Bay Golf Club. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it easily sleeps 8 people (one of the bedrooms is dutch style and could sleep 6). It is nicely decorated in French country and fully equipped for all your cottage needs.
Nearby are many things to see and do. Thornbury, Meaford, Blue Mountain and Collingwood offer a variety of dining and shopping opportunities. Christie Beach is a 10 minutes walk. Lora Bay Golf Club and the Georgian Trail are within walking distance as well. The Georgian Trail is great for cycling, walking cross-country in the winter season. It is the perfect spot for privacy and entertainment.

Upstairs are a desk area , a bathroom and 3 bedrooms. 2 queen side beds and the dutch room has 4 single beds and a queen pull-out sofa. This room doubles as a living room, it has its own TV,VCR,DVD, games.
The basement has a fridge, storage area, place for skis and laundry facilities.
Summer rental offers a beautifully landscaped pool area with nice outdoor furnishings, cabana with fridge and microwave. It has a very large deck for all your entertaining with outdoor lights and many flowers adorn the property.

| The Fern is a very special place - the right amount of privacy for ultimate relaxation but still perfectly situated between Thornbury and Meaford when you want to shop, stroll or grab an ice cream. The house is bigger than it looks in the photos with lots of different options for reading, napping and chilling with a glass of wine. We used the smart TV a few times with great streaming (WIFI). The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need as well as different options for eating indoors and out. The grounds around the house have been landscaped with beautiful flowers all around. The pool area is a little bit away from the house, which makes you feel like you are in your own little spa - lounge chairs, pool floaties for the little kids and us big kids too. The pool is heated and well maintained. The bike trail is pretty very easy to access near by and there is a little beach within a kilometer or two from the house. We had an amazing time and will plan a longer stay next time! Thank you Ginnette!!

| Beautiful, charming, elegant. We had an incredible weekend here in the fall. Stunning view, everything you could possibly hope for to cook with, luxurious beds and a cozy, yet chic ambiance. Ginette was the perfect host, responding to every request and coming to our rescue when there was a local power outage.
We would return in a heartbeat and hope to again, soon!

| We had a fantastic time at Fern Outlook. It is so cozy and inviting during the winter. It has an incredible view and exceptional privacy. The owner is inviting and went out of her way to make our stay special. We will never forget the good times and memories we had here. Highly recommend this rental!
