This 3 bedroom cottage on Big Hawk Lake is perfect for a relaxing vacation. A summer paradise with 120 feet of waterfront the cottage is just 60 feet from the water. The property is a natural woodlands setting that slopes gently to the lake. The great room is adjacent to the large kitchen with a very cozy atmosphere and a great view out to the water. You can even sit in front of the woodstove on a cool fall night and still view the beauty of the lake. It has a huge south-easterly facing wrap-around deck overlooking the lake. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sun on the deck overlooking the lake and then enjoy the afternoon sun and evening down by the water roasting marshmallows, star gazing and listening to the loons. The waterfront has a rocky shoreline with a sand and rock bottom so the best swimming is from the dock. A canoe, and a fire-pit are provided to help you enjoy your cottage experience. Nicely landscaped gardens on different levels lead to the private dock and waterfront. Enjoy the canoe or moor your own boat at the dock. The lake is of a good size for tubing and water-skiing, so bring along your toys. Perfect for family vacations and romantic escapes. Excellent hiking, fishing, swimming, canoeing on site. Close to 5 Golf courses, Haliburton Forest, Hawk Lake Log Chute and the Wolf Center. Beautiful lakeside cottage in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands of Ontario. Gorgeous views with 120 feet of private waterfront, 30 minutes from Haliburton and/ or Minden and close to Algonquin Park.

| The view was beautiful. It would have been nice to know that the owners would be right next door with their dogs for the entire week prior to booking. We brought our dogs and one of them isn't so friendly and theirs just roam around.

| We had a fantastic week at Hart Cottage !!!
This cottage has everything for a flawless vacation. Very spacious open concept living-Dining-Kitchen area with beautiful views of Big Hawk Lake. The 3 bedrooms are also spacious and quite comfortable for a good nights rest. Most of the days were spent on the extra large floating dock, soaking in the sun & tranquility as well as playing with the water toys. Most amenities are a short 25 minute drive in either Minden, Dorset or Haliburton.
Jackie & Stuart are wonderful, attentive hosts and we look forward to another week in 2023.

| An amazing experience staying there for two nights. Quiet and relaxing place. Nice and helpful owners were available anytime of the day. Although, this was the first family trip to cottage, everyone enjoyed it and hope to make a second one here as well.

| The Hart Cottage has a great layout, and is very comfortable and clean. The hosts are wonderful.
Our family spent two wonderful weeks swimming, having campfires, and hanging out together. We will definitely be returning next year.

| What a fabulous cottage! We had an amazing time at the cottage. It was very clean, there was tons to do, and the setting is gorgeous. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone as it's super family friendly!
