Secluded A frame cottage with kitchen, living room and bathroom on first floor, one bedroom upstairs and one adjacent to loft; Large deck overlooking bay with double dock and walkway to your own private island (great spot for a tent). Please bring your own linens. Blankets, pillows provided. Heating: Electric baseboards Children allowed: Yes. Guests allowed: Yes. Over 4 adults (12+) $200 each per week Equipment: Private location, sleeps 6. Boating, white water rafting, good swimming. Includes dishes, TV with DVD, electric heating, fridge, electric stove, microwave and BBQ. One queen bed in bedroom, 2 double beds in loft, plus queen pull-out on main floor. Rental Terms: Non refundable deposit of $200 required to hold reservation. Remainder to be paid three weeks before rental begins. Security deposit of $150 required as part of final payment. Children under 12 are included in rate, adults over 4 people an additional $200 per person per week. Dogs accepted with an additional $25 per dog including a strict cleanup policy. Walking trails along white water rafting area; Madawaska Kanu Camp (MKC) within easy walking distance with coffee shop. | we had a wonderful stay at paradise retreat, a lovely private cottage in the woods. our host was accessible and responsive. we loved the easy access to a quiet bay along a boarded walkway to a private little island where we pitched a tent and revelled in the quietude. the cottage is rustic and has everything you need. there are excellent easy walking trails that take you through the forest and along the river. lots of little areas to relax in. the entire family had lots of fun from the grandkids to the grandparents. our dog had the time of her life. we are definitely wanting to return!

| We just came back from Paradise retreat. And I have to say its paradise retreat! The cottage is rustic but nice and cozy, with deck in the front and elevated deck with lake view in the back. Wood stove was nice at night, when it got colder. The bonus is private island that's accessible via wooden walkway over the water. Very private, surrounded with acres of forest, there is only few cottages across the bay... we were surprised by additional bonus, there is short trail from access road to the Madawaska river, approx. 10 min. walk, you can hike along the river for kilometres see beautiful scenery, rapids, pick wild mushrooms, fish (fishing was not bad at the river, better in the bay after 6 pm). There is white water rafting company just up the street, Barrys Bay is 15 min. away. Definitely going back!

| This location is very secluded and peaceful. It's another world completely, surrounded by beautiful nature. The cottage is so cute. The private island is amazing! The kids loved the cottage and didn't want to come home. We all fell in love with it so much so, that we are planning to go again this summer!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to unplug and get back to nature to distress from life.
