The cottage is 2 to 2.5 hrs from Ottawa & 3 to 3.5 hrs from Toronto. It is located on a medium sized but quiet, & peaceful lake. The 200 foot private shoreline offers many swimming, canoeing, boating, & fishing options. With the cottage located less than 20 feet from the shoreline, water play is extremely easy & inviting. The well treed lot is 900+ feet (275 M) from the access road & has a 400 foot strip of Crown Land that creates that 'private holiday' feel. The cottage is close to a boat launch, white water rafting, golfing, & craft shops. Fishing this sunny lake can produce bass, lake trout, or pike. The east gate of Algonquin Park is forty five minutes from the cottage. The town of Barry's Bay is only fifteen minutes away. There are two local grocery stores, multiple restaurants, & many smaller shops for your cottaging needs or for quiet, relaxed browsing with a coffee & bun purchased from our local shops. Should the need arise, there is an easily accessed & fully equipped hospital in town as well as naturopathic medical and veterinary services. The living room has a queen sized futon, a large field-stone fireplace, & patio doors to an intimate deck (sized for 2) ideal for a morning coffee or a glass of wine along with private conversations or star gazing. This area is where you will also find the DVD player, satellite TV, & many board games. The room has been renovated in pine adding a wonderfully warm afternoon & evening glow. Should you want an area to enjoy a quiet morning coffee, to chat, to read or where you can play games and cards then the fully enclosed sun porch (with 4 large casement windows offering more stunning views of the lake), overlooking the lake and swimming area, is 'THE' place to stake an early claim. This room has a door to the front deck. It has another futon (pull out bed) accompanied by a cushioned chair providing an environment that delivers the solitude needed to relax and sink comfortably into your favourite reading material. You will also find a rack of adult-sized life jackets. Please bring children's life jackets. Jevaco has a renovated kitchen complete with an updated window, pine walls, new cupboards (uppers & lowers), stone sink, a faucet & counter tops. The kitchen has a modern fridge/freezer, stove/oven, newer microwave, coffee maker, toaster and a drinking-water dispenser. We provide the first bottle of water. Guests will find a lunch bar with lots of cupboard & counter space plus all the kitchen dishes, utensils, & cookware needed to prepare your favourite vacation meals & snacks!
The dining area has a wood-burning stove for those cool spring/fall evenings, another queen-sized futon, two ceiling fans, & stunning lake views through the 'wall of windows'. The 4 piece bathroom (includes a tub/shower) & the master bedroom have both been renovated in pine & floor tile.
The 2 well appointed bedrooms offer a queen size bed (master bedroom) & a set of twin size bunk beds (second bedroom). The master bedroom has a ceiling fan as well. Linens are not provided. Please plan to bring your own bedding ( sheets, comforters) as well as kitchen/bathroom towels and toilet paper.
The cottage is surrounded by a large wrap-around (3 sides) deck. There is an outside fireplace. In addition, outside features include a glass-top-table and chairs on the deck, a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, & a propane BBQ (we supply the 1st tank).
The swimming area is weed free with a firm sandy bottom. There is a shallow entry at the shore. It deepens to 4 or 5 feet at the end of the dock where there is deeper water for diving. The cottage comes equipped with a canoe, a youth's kayak, a pedal boat, two kid's kayaks and a long, wide, non-slip surfaced dock with a large 8'x12' sitting area out over the water. Note that there is a public boat launch on the lake about 1 KM south of the cottage.
For those cool spring/fall evenings heating is provided by the dining room wood stove and/or the living room stone-faced fireplace.
Guests are allowed but the number is limited by the size of the septic system.
Pets are allowed but only by prior approval. Note that guests are required to "Poop 'N Scoop" all animal waste.

| Myself and my wife Hilary stayed at the Jevaco cottage a couple weeks ago. It was an amazing & relaxing time, just what we needed. The fishing was great, we caught a ton of bass and some pike. We plan to definitely stay at this cottage again. Thanks again for renting your little slice of heaven to us.

| My husband, our dog and I along with a couple family members celebrated a birthday weekend away from Toronto and Brad at Jo-Ann's wonderful cottage and our only complaint is that we didnt want to leave. It was the perfect relaxing getaway that we all needed and we cannot to come back in the near future. The place was clean, spacious, filled with necessities and very comfortable and welcoming. The views of the night sky from chairs on the dock were spectacular. Our dog was able to be off leash without worry and had the time of his life in the water and exploring the area. Definitely have already recommended this incredible place to others.

| My husband dog and I rented this cottage last minute this year for my birthday. It beat all.of our expectations! It is very private, the cottage sleeps plenty of people and the lake is beautiful! We lucked out and there were absolutely no blackflies! Even though it was a last minute booking Jo-Ann was a delight to communicate with. She had very quick responses and answered all of our questions. It was also perfect for my dog, because of how private the location is he was able to be off leash no problem. We would not hesitate to rent again!

| My husband and I - and our dog - loved our weekend stay at Jevaco. The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The views over the lake are beautiful and the fall colours made them that much more spectacular. There is an abundance of choice for places to sit and relax - either of the two decks, the enclosed sun porch, the family room with wood stove, or the dock, among others. The property offers tremendous privacy while at the same time being an easy drive to Barry's Bay and all its amenities. Brad and Jo-Ann are wonderful hosts and took good care of us. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back again soon.

| Wonderful cottage!
We've been back three times already and have made JEVACO our cottage stay every other summer. Brad and Jo-Ann make us feel like family. Our dog even found a friend next door to run around with and sneak over for treats.
Comfortable bed and even the futon's are good. Everything you need in the kitchen and nice set up to cook and socialize and look at the lake at the same time. Loved taking a mid-day nap in the sunroom on a rainy afternoon. We bring our own boat, but have used the paddle boat and canoe as well. The wooded are surrounding the cottage is wonderful for morning walks. The lake isn't heavy with boat traffic - so you can enjoy the water. Fishing is very good - had a great fish-fry for supper one night.
Can't wait for next summer to return to Paugh Lake and JEVACO!
