La Quinta is a bright, renovated four season home on the Bay of Quinte, in beautiful Prince Edward County. Fully renovated, La Quinta boasts a wall of windows and french doors in the living room that open to a view of the Bay of Quinte and the sunset, with an open style living room/ dining room, and a clean and fully equipped kitchen. A new addition is a spacious master suite on a newly built second floor, complete with a queen bed, private sitting area with a DVD/t.v. under gorgeous vaulted ceilings, and a private balcony with french doors that open to overlook the Bay. There is a second bedroom upstairs and a third bedroom on the main floor. There are two decks, one securely perched over the water, and the other directly off the house - perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an afternoon drink at the water's edge. The house is tastefully furnished with comfortable new pieces as well as antiques, 2 flat-screen televisions, 2 DVD players (with a collection of DVDs for renters to use), and free Wifi for guests. It very comfortably sleeps 7 on new mattresses. The spacious downstairs bathroom has a standup custom-built shower, and the upstairs bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and large custom-built shower. Laundry facilities are on the second floor. There is a shallow, rocky entry to the water which is safe for swimming, as well as a dock with a ladder. We have a Weber BBQ, custom-built stone fire pit, picnic table, canoe, and a Sandbanks Day Parking Pass available for our guests. For those warmer days and nights, we have central air conditioning as well.

About the property: Located on Big Island in Prince Edward County, La Quinta has a gorgeous west-facing view of the Bay of Quinte with private waterfront access. The home offers a free DAY PASS PARKING FOR THE SANDBANKS PROVINCIAL PARK, free Wifi, a large gas BBQ, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave (all new), ceiling and standing fans in every room, a campfire pit, 2 decks, 1 balcony, a dock and ladder for water access, 2 flat screen televisions (one in the living room and one in the master bedroom suite), 2 DVD player, a stereo, central vacuum, iron/ironing board, coffee maker, 2 queen beds, 1 king bed, 1 twin bed. For enjoying the outdoors, there are 8 Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, 1 deck umbrellas, a canoe and paddles, PFDs and a long dock - perfect for enjoying a good lake swim. | We've just returned from a week stay at La Quinta cottage and we just loved it! The cottage is even nicer than the photos show (tastefully decorated and well appointed), and it was impeccably clean when we arrived. Some of the highlights: a magical lookout deck with an unobstructed view of the water-perfect for enjoying cocktails, star gazing, morning coffees, and taking in the gorgeous sunsets (the breeze off the water was sublime!), a fully stocked kitchen (all the cooking tools needed, plus tupperware, serving trays, spices, etc.), games, books and dvds galore to keep the kids occupied on rainy days, long dock with easy stair access into the water, and views of the bay from almost everywhere in the house. With two full bathrooms, an adorable reading nook upstairs, and the second tv area in the master bedroom, the cottage offered all the indoor space our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 children) needed to sleep, relax, and enjoy ourselves. Overall, this was a wonderful property to stay at while visiting the county, and we are already thinking about our return visit :) Highly recommend!

| What a lovely time we had at La Quinta. Photos do not do justice for this property. Kim has thought of every detail, small and large. The kitchen was very well detailed, nothing was missing for preparing meals. The welcome packet was extremely helpful, every topic covered. The highlight is of course, the sunsets. The sky changes and morphs so many times in the setting, you don't want to even blink your eyes. But you wake up to the blue bay water, you fall asleep to a view of the stars even from the sky view window in what we have deemed as the "Ernest Hemingway Novel Room". Two families of swans sailed by as we had our coffee on the deck.
Upon our departure, a deer peeked out of the woods to bid us goodbye. Heaven!

| La Quinta is a gem of a cottage! A home away from home that has been a peaceful and secluded get away for our family with teenagers for a number of years!! Access to lake was wonderful especially for canoeing and fishing. House is well appointed with all necessary amenities and more. Perfect for a family holiday with kids or teenagers. Highlights for us which are many are as follows: Easy access to Bloomfield, Wellington, Picton and Waupoos, AMAZING SUNSETS, fishing off the dock, lots of wildlife (especially the family of ospreys) and the family of foxes, Sandbanks Provincial Park Season Pass, biking along the country road and of course the infamous fire pit where many s'mores were consumed!! Most importantly, Kim is a friendly and conscientious host, always answering any questions to ensure a pleasant stay. Can't wait to return!!!

| We first discovered La Quinta in August 2021 and loved it so much we returned in August 2022. With a three and seven year old it met all our needs, with a well stocked kitchen, spacious rooms, and a beautiful view of the bay with memorable sunsets. La quinta is clean, modern and has air conditioning which we value in the summer! We enjoyed our visits to Sandbanks and popped into Picton quite a few times so the kids could cool down in their modern splash pad and spend time at the main playground. No stay is complete without a visit to Waupoos winery & restaurant. Kim is responsive and provides detailed information so you arrive at La Quinta prepared.
