IMPORTANT: *** ONLY full week rentals are available. Rentals are SATURDAY to SATURDAY. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US for weekends, long weekends, partial weeks, May 24 weekend etc. Really - no weekends of any kind. We just can't manage it. Also, we do not rent to large groups of adults. This is a family cottage, perfect for young family getaways on a quiet lake. This is a spacious, three season family friendly cottage on quiet motor free Lucerne Lake, just outside of Bancroft - with a reasonable 12-15 minute drive into town it's the perfect balance of getting away, but being able to have the convenience of a quick visit for necessities. It is a peaceful place to spend a week away from concrete! The cottage sleeps 6 (one queen, one double and a double over single bunkbed). It has a spacious dining room with a reading area and lots of books. The living room has comfy reclining sofas perfect for kicking back and watching a movie or the wildlife (cranes and loons). Laundry facilities are on site. There is large sloping lawn down to the water for croquet, volleyball and lawn bowling (games are available for renters). There are comfortable wooden chairs at the fire pit - perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, afternoon drink at the water's edge or an evening campfire. The beach is pretty shallow, making it super safe for kids. Our children spend all day by the water's edge exploring nature. Swimming is from the floating dock, which is only a 30 second paddle boat ride away, where the water is deep, clean and pleasantly warm. And, don't forget our new deck and hot tub! It is a perfect place to relax any time of the day!
Please bring linens and towels. Although there is no land line, your cell phone will work here. THERE IS NO WIFI AT THE COTTAGE - which we take as an opportunity to unplug.
We have a high standard of cleanliness and appreciate that our renters respect us by leaving the cottage as found upon arrival.

Outside: BBQ, Hot tub, campfire pit, Muskoka chairs, hammock, and picnic table. Large outdoor dining table. We also have sand toys (Tonka trucks galore). Outdoor Games: bocce ball, croquet, volleyball, lawn ball toss.
Watercraft: 1 canoe, 1 Standup paddleboard, 1 paddleboat, 1 sit on top Kayak for 140lbs and below, 1 adult kayak, PFDs of all sizes.
Inside: washer/dryer, fans in every room, TV/DVD machine (no cable). 1 bunkbed - double over single, 1 queen tempurpedic bed, 1 queen bed with memory foam mattress topper, kid's books, legos and other toys. Cheesy, yet surprisingly addictive reclining sofas and loveseat (4 spots to recline).
Kitchen: microwave, filter coffee maker, popcorn maker, belgian waffle maker, bread maker, magic bullet blender, hand slushie maker, Ninja blender!

Note: Lucerne Lake is a small motor free lake that is close enough to the varied amenities of Bancroft, but far enough away to provide peace and quiet. The lake is a quiet family lake with only 17 cottages on it and can be paddled or even swam across. The nearest larger lake is Lake L'Amable - which is a 5 minute drive away. This lake has a boat access and small beach.
