When you lie in your King bed, it feels like your toes are touching the ocean. Two bedroom two bath beautiful open floor plan cottage right on the ocean in Halfway Cove, an undiscovered jewel on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. The Cottage sits on the cliff with the ocean waters of Chedabucto Bay putting you to sleep at night. It is located in a stunningly beautiful secluded spot on the water. Vermont Castings stove and electric baseboard heat, full kitchen, jet tub and shower enclosure. Portable air conditioner if needed. King new mattress bed upstairs with double bed and queen bed downstairs, goose down duvets and down pillows. An additional twin futon mattress is under full bed? Walking trails and short climb down to the water. Friendly welcoming town of Guysborough is 16 km (9 miles ) away with foodstore, library, restaurant, cafe, hospital, doctor'soffices, pharmacy, liquor store, hardware store, dollar store, bank and post office.

Ideally located for ocean, walking on shoreline, kayaking, eating and shopping.

A beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped cottage. The sunsets were amazing and setting magical. We spotted a whale from the bedroom window, saw an eagle from the porch, rabbits on the driveway and the red squirrels are quite chatty and curious. We initially thought a bear wondered onto the property, however, it was a kind neighbor and his sweet dog (appropriately named Bear) dropping off the biggest cucumbers we have ever saw. Yes, the Cabot Trail and surrounding villages are wonderful, however, just enjoying this cottage and property was the highlight of our stay. Rick, the property owner, was beyond helpful. ..thank you for an amazing vacation.

Such a wonderfully cozy cottage. It's a great place to unplug (it does have wifi) and just spend time with the family. We brought the teenagers and they turned off their iPads for most of the day to enjoy card games, board games and lively discussions! Right on the water the views you see in the pictures are what you get here! It is certainly a piece of heaven!! Bring water shoes for delicate feet!! For those debating let me help a bit? this is a cottage, no big screen tv, no gaming stations. Drilled well water means some discolouration to the water and there isn't a Walmart for hours away. If you want peace and quiet, a beautiful place to reflect and read or bond with the kids this is it! This is what you are looking for. If you are looking for luxury, and easy to get to places, keep looking.
Rick was very attentive and accommodating, phoning at the beginning and end of our week to ensure all was well. We would recommend this place to anyone.
