Welcome to our Quiet Retreat on beautiful Mississippi River. The cottage is in a private location, surrounded by only 2 other cottages. It has 2 bedrooms plus a sleeping cabin. A full kitchen, living room, and dining room make up the main living area. Off the main room are the 2 bedrooms and the bathroom (which is divided into 2 separate rooms: one room for the vanity and toilet, and one room for the shower -- no tub). There is a large deck on the water side of the cottage, and a private beach with gradual entry steps away from the cottage. You'll have 200 ft of waterfront with a dock. Large lot with lots of trees for shade and play, and a sunny beach for sunbathing. Waterfront is sandy, gradual entry. Excellent for swimming. Southern view. Boat launch within 2 km. Kayaks rental available on request. The water is shallow (up to 3' deep for the first 10 feet) then at the end of the dock, it is approximately 6' deep... excellent for diving. The cottage is in a quiet area yet it is only 3 minutes from Lanark (convenience store, LCBO, movie rental) and Mal's Camping (firewood, movie rental, convenience store); 10 minutes away from Pert (Independent, LCBO, Tim Horton's, Shoppers Drug Mart, Canadian Tire); 20 minutes from Carleton Place (Wal-Mart, Independent Grocer, Tim Hortons, Starbucks Coffee, gas, restaurants, LCBO, Beer Store and Shoppers Drug Mart); and 40 minutes from Ottawa. Within 5 and 15 minutes from two golf courses (Timber Run Golf & Country Club, Blue Heron Golf & Country Club).

| This has to be seen to be appreciated. A fantastic, private, large cottage and land with a spectacular view. Listen to nature (loons, ducks, frogs) and bask in the relaxation. I have been coming here now for over 5 years and every time brings calm and serenity.

| Great location, very comfortable, awesome swimming, great sandy beach, quiet, lots of wild life to observe.
Great memories for our kids and grandkids who came to visit. The kids loved jumping off the dock and swimming.... oh and those campfires. perfection!

| We had an incredible weekend at this cottage - it was perfect. Great kayaking on the river, swimming was wonderful, lots of wildlife to watch and it was very quiet and private. So relaxing! The cottage was comfortable, we could run into Perth for anything we needed or head into Balderson (a short drive away) for roadside tacos at Panchos and ice cream and other snacks at Balderson's Cheese store. Norman was a great host and answered any questions we had right away. Will definitely be returning!

| We had a fantastic weekend stay here.
When you first walk in you'll notice the beautiful view of the water from the main room. The cottage is open concept which makes it so open and airy. The beds are super comfortable and both rooms are a nice size. The BBQ is in excellent shape and the kitchen has everything. The dock is exactly as described and we had a swim due to the 40* weather and found it quite refreshing . The owner is super nice and responsive for any questions you might have.
I highly recommend this place and look forward to going back soon!

| Our small family (baby and us), had a great time at this cottage. It is rustic, but what a cottage should be. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but has everything you will need for a great stay! The sandy beach is awesome, and love being so close from the door to water access. Nicely maintained cottage grounds as well. Two cottages on either side, but we never heard either set of neighbours. 20 minutes to Carleton Place or Perth, so it's a great location. Husband was able to catch decent size Bass and Perch from the dock. We were only able to access the Wi-Fi )other rental from owners holds the base) in one room, or area of cottage, but wasn't a big deal, just FYI if that is important to you. Lovely time relaxing on super quiet lake. Would rent again.
