(Please do not ask for fewer days even if our availability calendar shows a gap). ** Our guest book is filled with comments like "a slice of heaven"; "we really hated to leave"; "fantastic beach cottage"; "perfect holiday"; etc. Our summer home is located directly on the beach on the Northumberland Strait in a private setting on four acres. The location features a beautiful red sand beach and warm, shallow waters, with spectacular long-range views of Northumberland Strait, Cape Egmont lighthouse, Mont Carmel cathedral, the Confederation Bridge, and the distant shore of New Brunswick. The chalet-style cottage is turn-key with all needed equipment provided - you only need to bring food, beverages, personal items, and consumables for a great time! The beach is composed of very fine, soft, red sand, with virtually no rocks or pebbles beyond the shoreline. June-August the water temperature often is in the high 70's (~24-25 C) meaning you can spend all day wading and swimming in the water without getting blue lips or chattering teeth. The shallow waters extend out hundreds of feet, at which point they are still only waist-deep, making the beach perfect (and safe) for young children. There is an extensive lawn around the cottage for kids to run around and play games.
There are aluminum stairs with handrails on each side leading down (~5 feet) to the beach from the lawn for easy access by young and old alike. (Use at your own risk)

| We had a wonderful family trip at this cottage! The highlight for us was the breathtaking view, which made our mornings and evenings truly special. The property was clean, comfortable, and setup well for a family getaway. The host's communication was excellent from start to finish—they were incredibly responsive, helpful, and made us feel welcome. We made lasting memories here and would highly recommend this beautiful spot to any family looking for a relaxing escape on the ocean. We will definitely be back!

| Hey Guys, Thanks for another great stay. The "boys" and I had a blast on the beach again. Titus had his first introduction to a large crab, which was quite hilarious. The weather was great! Here's lookng forward to next year.

| We had already come in 2018 with the whole family and we had to come back! It's a fantastic location with the sea just a few steps from the house, really peaceful. The perfect place to make sandcastles, take long walks on the beach and above all swim in incredibly comfortable water! Thank you again for this wonderful stay!

| The property exceeded our expectations. Can't believe we practically had the beach to ourselves for the week. The kids (okay the adults too) loved low tide and digging for clams, and searching for sea glass.
The cottage it self was well equipped for our needs.
We have been home for a week and definitely missing our nightly beach fires!!!
Hope to return to this cottage again one day.
