Avonport Cottage

A comfortable, family-owned, rustic cottage located right on the water of the beautiful Minas Basin. Beside the cottage is a secluded beach, which is perfect for swimming at high tide and a lobster boil-up for dinner. There is also access to walking trails on the Acadian dykes and it is a short walk down the road to Avonport Beach.

The cottage is located in Avonport in the Annapolis Valley and is an easy 45 minute drive from Halifax and only a 10 minute drive to Wolfville. The cottage is in the middle of Nova Scotia's main wine region and tours are available through Go North Tours (www.gonorthtours.com).

The cottage has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 7 comfortably. It has a full kitchen, electricity, running hot/cold water (potable water provided in separate jugs), an indoor toilet, and a lovely outdoor shower with hot water. The cottage is a perfect place for children of all ages and is pet-friendly.

Rentals cost $150/night + one time $50 cleaning fee. Currently, we are only taking one week or more rentals. A 25% reservation deposit is due at the time of booking (balance due on arrival). 100% refund up to 60 days before check-in and 50% refund up to 30 days before check-in.

Cottage has running hot/cold water (from on site well), but has not been tested against drinking water quality standards. Potable water from a local artesian well is provided in large jugs. Renters may also choose to purchase their own bottled water for drinking and food preparation. The cottage does not have wifi, but there is cellular coverage.
