Are you looking for a place to relax this summer? Just 2 hours east of Toronto, you can sit on a dock and watch the tranquil water of the Crowe River flow by. While you watch, you might see an osprey, beaver, otters, or any one of a large variety of wildlife. See our Testimonials for the variety of wildlife our customers have seen.
The Crowe River water is clean and clear as it flows into Crowe Lake just over 900 meters downstream. You can jump off the dock to swim, or you can walk out from the shoreline on the muddy bottom. Water shoes are strongly recommended.
Upstream, you can see a set of rocks and rapids for those who like rock hopping. The rapids block all motorized boat traffic, so you won't be interrupted by noisy SeaDoos roaring by as you sit on the dock and relax.
The cottage has no neighbours on one side and faces South East meaning both the cottage and the waterfront area get to enjoy the morning and afternoon sun. There are plenty of trees to provide shaded areas to sit and escape the hot sun while enjoying the view.
A fire pit is down by the water for evening entertainment. There is an outdoor deck with chairs, and a screened in section for when the bugs come out or it rains. There is lots of green space for kids to plan, and there are some swings for the little ones.
There is plenty to do in the area. Provincial parks and conservation areas for those more adventurous. Restaurants and shops are only a 15 minute drive away.
And the fishing is great too!
