| Stayed here with my family of 12 from August 10th-13th and I have to say we were underwhelmed.
Pros -Plenty of sleeping areas -Spacious backyard -Sauna -Deck
Cons -Interior a little worn down (broken curtain, holes in wall, wasp nest beside the sliding door, disgusting sofa, scratches on the hardwood, upstairs bathroom lock broken). I felt like I needed to document everything because there's a $1000 damage deposit involved. -For a cottage that advertises for larger families, there aren't any patio/deck chairs in the back to sit around the fire pit or even on the deck....make sure you bring your own camping chairs. -No linens/towels which is fine (I rather sleep in my own sheets) but inconvenient when you have a larger family. There's also no washing machine or dryer like most cottages I've been to. -No scenic view!! I assume you only see the water in the winter time.
The place was average. But for the amount of money we paid, I had high hopes since they were on the HGTV's Income Property show. I saw the show and it looks like this was one of their worst properties out of the many Dan and his brother owns. They really only renovated the master bedroom which is sort of out of place and unfair for the rest of the guest bedrooms.
Overall, I can see how this is prime location for the winter season but not so much for the summer. For the future, I would stick with the blue mountain operated chalets.

| Hi I was one of the family member who stayed for 4 nights starting Dec 23rd. The cottage was clean...no complaints ...we did not have heat and hotwater for almost 8 hours. It was very dissapointing ...They did fix it after 8 hours.
the Microwave can only be operated by a 6' person. If I needed to warm something I needed to climb a chair as they did not provide a step ladder. Even then imagine the safety of any person with hot food on hand?????we had children and it was very frustrating...
The Garbage and recycling... we did not see the lock for the bin...it was open.. the owner left instructions that the recycling should be taken back with us when we leave...????? Why would we want to be carrying our BIN BAGS home...Don't you charge enough to cover all overheads????
|I was not happy as I was in charge of cleaning....
Will I go there again....NO....will I recommend for anyone ...NO.
Thank you
