LAKE MUSKOKA ISLAND RESORT

Island cottage on Lake Muskoka with elevated southwest view of lake, includes a motorboat which is a 19 ft, 225 Hp SeaRay bow rider (value ~ $1,800/week). A boat license is required, and the boat is insured for transportation between the marina and our cottage. A kayak and a canoe are provided for exploring the area at a slower pace.

The cottage has three bedrooms, games room, sunroom, and a central living room with 18ft cathedral ceiling. Bright and inviting open concept living, dining and kitchen areas. The cottage is a log building with wood and slate floors, has a fireplace, washer/dryer, and granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom. The cottage is located on 1.5 acres of woodland and has 220 ft of waterfront with mile long views of Lake Muskoka.

Two bedrooms provide a queen and a double size bed with built-in closet and dressers. The third bedroom provides a bunk bed (2 single beds) and has a closet and dresser. Adjacent to the 2nd floor games room is a single bed and dresser. The sunroom located on the first floor contains an antique double daybed and dresser with closets that store popular CDs and DVDs. A three-piece bathroom is located centrally on the main floor of the cottage. The front patio provides mile long views of Lake Muskoka, and the rear patio has a dining table with 6 matching seats. Both patios are surrounded by woodland. The backyard has a fire pit for roasting marshmallows in the evening.

Allport Marina (where the boat is parked in a covert berth) is on Lake Muskoka and 3 minutes from the cottage by boat. Automobile parking is provided at Allport Marina for 2 cars. Bracebridge is located ten minutes away by car and here there are good restaurants, shopping and so on. There are several golf courses near Bracebridge and Algonquin Park is one hour away by car.
