Several weeks open for summer 2025. Please see calendar for specific available dates. If you would like to be put on a waiting list please email details and desired week. Property consists of two lake front condominium homes (semi-detached home) on beautiful Round Lake in the Ottawa Valley. This is an extremely clean Algonquin Park fed lake that is quiet and very swimming and boat friendly. Both units are modern, smoke free, pet free 4 bedroom homes tastefully decorated with hardwood floors and multiple full bath rooms. A sand bottom beach with a very gradual depth change makes it ideal for young children, with numerous indoor and outdoor activities for your family enjoyment. Rain or shine there is enough to do to spend some quality family time here. Included are games rooms in each unit, horseshoe pit, swimming raft, canoe, 2 kayaks (water amenities available during summer only). Children's and adult reading book libraries and a large assortment of children's in-house and water toys for your family enjoyment. Units are located 40 km south west of Pembroke, 1.5 hours east from Ottawa, 2.5 hrs north of Peterborough, and 3-4 hrs from Toronto. Great fishing, hiking and local conveniences. 20 minutes from Algonquin Park border for great fishing and wilderness adventure. Weekly rentals of both units required during June/ Sept. unless there is last minute availability. This is ideal for families who love to cottage but don't want to rough it. 8 Bedrooms and 5 bathrooms when both units are rented. There is a 5 step climb to the deck of #5 and a 2 step to the side door of #11 for those with mobility challenges. It is a 7 step walk down to the beach and dock.
5 Sunrise has a top floor Master Bedroom with a Queen and single bed. Main floors bedroom #2 has 1 Queen and 1 single bed. Bedroom #3 has one Queen bed. Bedroom #4 in basement with a Queen and Double bed. Basement games room includes air hockey, Foosball and dart board (darts not included]) 4 piece bath on both top and main floors, with walk in shower on main floor. Washer and drier. This unit is ideal for guests who have mobility issues and require all living/sleeping amenities on one floor.
11 Sunrise has the top floor bedrooms with Queen Sized Bed in master bedroom, a Queen and Single bed in bedroom #2, Queen sized bed in bedroom #3. Bedroom #4 has a Queen bed and is located in a private bedroom in the basement. Double day bed in basement games room with air hockey, pool table, and dart board. (darts not included) 2 four piece bathrooms upstairs with walk in shower in master bedroom. 2 piece bathroom main floor with laundry.
The Grounds/Area Attractions: Excellent swimming beach with sand bottom and gradual increase in depth ideal for smaller children and boat docking. No weeds or large rocks. Note: The size of the beach is dependent on the season, amount of rainfall, and management of the dam on the lake. It can vary from 1ft to 35ft during summer. Free public boat launch available in Round Lake Center 3km away. 18 hole golf course (Wolf Ridge) 10 minutes away on Hwy 62 and another 32km away in Barry's Bay. Round Lake is ideal for canoeing/kayaking, sailing and fishing for pike, lake trout, bass, muskie and perch (fishing license required). Nearby fishing and boating lakes include Bonnechere River, Golden Lake, Aylen Lake, Bark Lake, and Kamaniskeg Lake as well as the many secluded lakes and rivers of SE Algonquin Park.
2025 Rates: $3400 wk./unit $6800 for both. During July/Aug period, booking of both units required unless last minute vacancy is available. Inquire about availability outside of summer peak season, or if you wish to be placed on a waiting list.
Amenities: Internet, TV, Each unit includes 250 +piece video/DVD library and 45+ board games. assortment of children's books and toys for your enjoyment. Ideal for fall getaway, summer vacation, or for family reunions and holiday gatherings etc. Max capacity with both units jointly occupied is 20 persons. Please inquire with total number of people and sleeping requirements for your family. * For musicians, 11 Sunrise has an upright piano* No Pets permitted in the interests of those guests who have animal allergies. Drilled well with drinkable water. During peak season, bookings are from Friday after 3:30pm to Friday at 11am, allowing you a full weekend at the lake. Family camping only. No groups under 25 years/age. We do not do short term rentals in these units (1-5 day). Minimum 1 week stays.
Included: Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen, including fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, all kitchen utensils, propane bar-b-cues, dishes, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, Keurig, roasting pans, slow cookers, waffle maker, pannini press, soda stream dispenser (please supply your own bottles and C02 cartridge) etc etc. Beds have pillows and blankets supplied. (Linens: Sheets, pillow cases and towels not supplied.) Use of video library, games room, kayak's and canoe (summer only).
Fishing Boat Rentals: There is no marina on the lake. A limited number of aluminum fishing boats available for rent (should be reserved well in advance) from nearby Levair's campground 3km away.
Round Lake Center is 3 km away with Catholic Church, Post office, boat launch, convenience/LCBO store, gas/diesel station, restaurant (Eva's Cafe) which also has 2 EV charging ports.
Please note that this is not a secluded location. Respect for neighboring guests and neighbors requires outdoor playing of music be kept at reasonable levels during the day, and kept indoors after dark. No Pets allowed. No exceptions. We have multiple returning guests with severe animal allergies and strive to maintain an environment free of any pet hair or gander. 33% Deposit required for summer bookings by January 1. Damage deposit may be required and will be discussed at time of booking.
Not included in Rental: linens and towels. Please bring sheets, pillowcases, towels/face cloths etc. It is beneficial to bring safety equipment for young children if you have them, such as *life jackets, water wings etc. *If you do not own any, please let us know your requirements as we do have an adequate selection available. There is no smoking or vaping of any substance permitted in the homes.

| Another fantastic week at Sunrise Hideaway in the books. The perfect place for families, particularly with younger children. Large clean cottages, grass area for games and the incredible lake and beach area. Al and Jen will treat you like family as they've done with us the last 3 years. | This place is perfect for young families. Staying here was the highlight of our summer! We had such a pleasant stay at the cottage. There are endless things to do. The water is perfect for little ones as it is so shallow for so long and has a perfect beach area for them to play at. The cottage has everything that you could ever need. So many sleeping options, high chairs, toys, etc. The games rooms were a big hit with the kids and the adults. The hosts Jen and Al are the nicest people you could ever meet. Can't wait to go back there again!

| We were lucky to find availability at this cottage and were absolutely thrilled with how our week went. Al and Jen are fantastic hosts and really welcomed us and our children from the moment we arrived. The cottages are well equipped with everything you may need and they were very clean. We had some rain but the basement games and endless movie selection helped pass the time. The waterfront is spectacular and the nicest lake we've stayed at. Sandy beach and a slide for the kids. We're already looking forward to our trip back next summer!

| This place is absolutely amazing. There is an excellent area for the kids to play, the water is shallow for a long ways out, paddle boat and other water features. The cottage also has a great basement area for indoor games as well with air hockey and much more. For mom and dad, sitting on the dock watching the stars or around a campfire at night set the day off perfectly. One last thing, you will lack for nothing as the cottage is equipped with everything you can think of.

| We were lucky enough to find this cottage listing three years ago and we've never looked back! We are a big family with lots of kids and there's something for everyone, inside and out. The waterfront is perfect for all ages, particularly little ones. It's sandy and relatively shallow (6ft) for a long ways out, but does eventually get quite deep (30ft) and is great for canoeing, paddle boating, fishing etc. We enjoy quite mornings on the dock (now with a mini fridge!) and swimming all day. Inside is spacious and even as a big group we've never felt cramped. On days it gets too hot, we head inside for a TV break, a game of foozball, or to curl up in a corner somewhere and read a book (if you forget your own, there's a big collection of books inside). The owners are also incredibly accommodating and helpful. We've always had a fantastic experience regardless of the weather and can't wait to get back there!
