This was our first time to Mike and Rose's home. We have been taking our grandkids to cottages for the past 11 years and enjoy our time with them very much. We arrived on Friday the 17th and were fortunate enough to meet Mike and Rose who in turn had the opportunity to show us around the cottage. They were very friendly and accommodating. The setting is gorgeous with an abundance of wildlife. The waterfront is lovely and we all enjoyed the clean clear water and the ability to dive off the dock. The cottage is the perfect size for families. We spent most of our days swimming, paddling the kayaks and canoes or pedalling around the lake on the pedal boat. The new deck is wonderful, adding to the outdoor space for eating. We spent several evenings in the screened in sun porch which is nice to avoid the pesky mosquitoes. The fire pit/drum is great for making s'mores or roasting wieners. We had the best time and we met the resident snapping turtle named ?one eye Joe?. Had the best time. The weather was wonderful for the most part and there was lots to do. The kids enjoyed the basketball net, trampoline and tree swing. We hope to come back again next year.

We had a wonderful time at Palmer Lane cottage. We were 6 adults and 4 children and had plenty of space to hang out. The water is spectacular - warm and clean. We spent most of our days swimming, fishing or on the water with the kayaks and canoe. The kids enjoyed the trampoline and swings. The gazebo was perfect for the evenings. I would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family.
Just be aware that the description states there are 3 Queen beds but in reality, it's 1 Queen bed and the others are either doubles or twins. (Would've given this cottage 5 stars if it wasn't for that detail since we rented it based on each couple getting a Queen bed).
Other than that, it was a problem free week full of relaxation.

We spent two weeks at this cottage with the five grandchildren and their parents. We had a great time. The house is very comfortable for a big family, very well equipped, toys for the little ones, board games, books, ample kitchen and enough room to eat inside if it rains.
The lake is beautiful and very clean. The water was very warm so children spent many hours diving and swimming. The gazebo at the dock provides shade in the afternoon which is a plus. Fishing from the dock was delightful for the little ones.
Westport is 15 minutes away so we did our groceries and took the kids for delicious ice cream.
Overall a great vacation for everybody.

Just spent a wonderful week at the cottage (Grandparents, parents and children...age 5, 2 and 6 months) and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My 5 year old grandson never caught so many fish! And the swings/trampoline were a big hit with all the kids (burned up lots of energy!). The lake was also great for swimming/cooling off. The cottage itself has lots of room for every to enjoy themselves without living "on top" of each other. We'll book again for next year. Thank you

What a wonderful, relaxing holiday with a week of majestic sunsets. Many pictures were taken along with sunset kayak rides and swims. Even though we had 8 adults and a 2 month old baby, there were plenty of places for each of us to pursue our own activities or have a quiet retreat. However, there was also lots of space for all of us to eat, play games, and spend time together. Joe, the ancient, snapping turtle, visited us on 3 different days; he is docile and friendly and likes to hang out under the ladder. Many varieties of birds, fish, wildlife, and vegetation were enjoyed by all. This was a great break from our normal, busy routine.
