Wake up to sun on the lake, spend the day swimming and exploring, and wind down by the fire—this is a cottage families return to year after year. A bright, south-facing lakefront retreat on Wolfe Lake with space for everyone to relax, just 10 minutes from Westport. Set on one of Eastern Ontario's most sought-after lakes, the cottage enjoys full southern exposure, filling both the interior and outdoor spaces with natural light all day long. The views are open, peaceful, and uninterrupted—an ideal setting to properly switch off. The cottage is especially well suited to families. The main sitting room looks directly over the lake, creating a natural place to gather after a day outside. A second indoor/ outdoor room provides additional space—perfect for children to play or unwind while adults enjoy a quieter moment.
The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped, making it easy to settle in from the moment you arrive. On cooler evenings, the stone fireplace becomes the heart of the cottage—ideal for board games, reading, or simply relaxing together.
Outside, the space really opens up. Multiple decks offer places to sit at any time of day—morning coffee in the sun, afternoons by the water, and evenings watching the light fade across the lake. It's a setting where children can roam and play, and adults can genuinely rest.
For a change of pace, the village of Westport is just 10 minutes away, with cafés, shops, and small-town charm—perfect for a short outing or a rainy afternoon. But most guests find they are happiest staying right where they are.
Many of our guests return summer after summer, and it's not uncommon for families to make this part of their yearly tradition.

A canoe and 2 kayaks are included in your rental. Motorboat rentals are available within the Village of Westport. Wolfe lake is spring fed and known for great fishing especially walleye. NOTES Please note that Weekly rentals go from Friday at 5pm until the following Friday at 11am. Weekend and weekday rentals also begin at 5pm but checkout can be negotiated depending on availability. Rates include responsible use of Canoe and Kayaks, life jackets of various sizes will also be available. . Linens are not included. You will need to bring your won sheets, pillow cases, and towels. Blankets and pillows (not cases) will be provided. During the Prime season we rent almost exclusively by the week. The rental agreement assumes two adults and three children or four adults. Should your party exceed that please contact to discuss additional fees. For week long rentals a 25% deposit is required to secure a booking and an additional 25% 14 days before the date of arrival. Failure to provide the second deposit will be classified as a cancellation of the reservation. For weekend rentals we require 50% deposit. The cottage will not be considered booked until the funds have been received. Payments are non-refundable if the cancellation takes place within 30 days of the rental period. Prior to 30 days there will be a $100 administration fee deducted. The remainder is due at the time of arrival by e-transfer. A $500 refundable security deposit is also required by e-transfer prior to arrival at the cottage. | This cottage lived up to the description. We found the cottage was very clean, well stocked with cooking utensils, board games, books, a canoe and kayaks. There is no shortage of outdoor spaces to lounge. The cottage itself is comfortable and homey, with great gathering rooms.
The cottage is very private right, on the beautiful Wolfe Lake. It was a great home base for our trips to Smith Falls, Brockville, Gananoque and Kingston. The town of Westport has all the essentials and then some very interesting shops. There are loads of local hiking and a perfect kid's beach in town.
Making the reservation, paying fees and gaining access to the cottage was effortless. Peter was easily available through email to answer any question. His fare pet policy made it possible to bring the furry family with us, rather than having the expense and stress of boarding.
I would highly reccomend the cottage to those looking for a rustic cottage experience. I hope to return in the future.
