Hate to give a negative review but we were quite disappointed and felt a bit deceived by the other reviews. It smelled musty, wifi only worked outside of cottage, no sink in ?bathroom? so had to wash in kitchen sink same place to wash dishes. Bbq was small if a bigger group going. All furniture and TVs very out dated. The gazebo was not really a gazebo, it was a screened in area below the cottage and It was not too appealing.

The side deck was nice and the view of the water was nice.

Not sure if this is what to expect of a cottage? If it is, I will not be renting any more cottages.

Owner response:
Everything said (about Dated) was in the Photo's, First time we have ever heard about weak Wifi, They noted they where sensitive to the smell of cut grass. The BBQ serves 4 Not 8. The unit sleeps 4 not 8. NO one has ever said it smells musty, lakes have a natural scent. Sorry you where not happy, you could have visited with us before applying. Cheers. Stan and Helen

We also will have to agree with the below review..
the musty smell, and poor wifi. Did not see a fire pit. When we arrived we thought it was the wrong cabin because we didn't get a warm welcome.. Also no privacy.. they live on the property and walk on the dock as they please while you are staying there. No boat rentals only a small fishing boat. No bathroom sink only one kitchen sink and the shower and bathroom are all in the bedroom. We always felt like we were being watched. Saturday they were putting another boat in the water while we were in the cabin and it took 4 hours away from our dock time. We weren't under the impression that we were sharing this experience with others. It says pet friendly but they seemed upset our dogs weren't kept on leashes meanwhile that's not noted in the reviews and we didn't expect to be sharing the property with them. They also asked us Sunday morning when we were leaving so we felt rushed like they wanted us out when checkout was at 10pm.

Owner response:
Really, we enjoyed cleaning up after your dogs. Hair everywhere, we never said we had a fire pit at the lake for you, nor did you bother to ask. The note says dogs should be kept on a leash, as do Municipal by Laws. We have 2 kayaks and Fishing boat to rent out, We do not rent our 20 thousand $ boat sorry that bothered you. We can and often walk on OUR dock. Next time be friendlier, it would be better for you, I think you said 4 words.

Easy to find cabin right on the lake. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Bathroom is a bit small but its a cabin so what do you expect. The view is beautiful. The owners are nice. The lake is beautiful. I loved how the cabin was up top and had a balcony with a beautiful view. The dock is lovely. There are wonderful hiking trails nearby. Its peaceful and exactly what you want in a cabin. Thank you.

I Love Cass's Cove! It is the place I dream about during the long Winnipeg winters. Sitting on the deck looking out over the lake watching the geese swim by. The perfect place to sit and think about nothing! If the sun get too much, just slip down to the enclosed porch and rest in the shade. The little cottage is clean and well kept and the owners are lovely people. Its a peaceful break from the hectic city life. Already looking forward to next year!
