| What an incredible stay. The cottage, the host, the amenities, the grounds, the water....what more could you ask for. Winter, summer, perfect for anytime of the year. Incredible views of the lake. The cottage is so spacious, there is enough room for everyone. We cannot wait to go back!

| We stayed here two years in a row. Spacious. Three generations of family. We didn't even use all the bedrooms. Lots of eating space in the dining room and plenty of dishware. Lots of pan fish for the kids to fish for, and the lake water in this lake is very clear and clean. Swimming area decent. Thanks to Darlene. Hopefully we'll all get the time off next year to go back.

| Very spacious cottage, perfect for a large group with 6 separate bedrooms and 3 full baths, very rare for a cottage in this price point! The lower lever is excellent for those wanting to stay up later than those on the main floor. The lot is very large and perfect for outdoor activities and games. Waterfront is clean and you can easily walk in, water shoes not necessary but could be helpful. Nice deck area overlooking the water, perfect for morning coffee! The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need. Grounds need a bit of work but I'm sure the current owner is working on it for the future! This cottage offers the most ?bang for the buck? on Balsam Lake! Thanks Darlene we hope to be back!

| This is the 2nd time that we've stayed at this cottage. The price is very reasonable and it looks like some updates have been done to the cottage compared to the first time. Darlene is VERY easy to work with. Her response tome is phenomenal! The cottage is not too far out of the city and the drive is very pleasant. There 3 bbqs that are available. Lots of seating area and very spacious.
This will definitely not be our last visit.

| There was no mirror in the bathroom, or even hangers for towels. There are no hangers in the closet for clothing. In the kitchen, there wasn't enough cutlery, cups, etc. The stove was also dirty. The living room siting furniture was very uncomfortable.
I wouldn't recommend this place, it definitely needs a refurbishment.

Owner response: I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. The kitchen is stocked with enough plates, cutlery, etc...for the number of guests permitted at the cottage. Many times, renters bring in more than the alloted number of guests which will result in there not being enough kitchen supplies. With respect to the mirror in the bathroom, this is the case in one bathroom where the mirror was broken by the previous tenants and not yet replaced. The mirror has now been replaced. With respect to furniture...the cottage was completely renovated 2 years ago. All furniture was purchased new. The cottage is also cleaned after each tenant vacates the property. It is cleaned by a professional 3 person service. We encourage our guests to communicate any problems they may have immediately. As you can see from the other reviews, concerns are dealt with in a prompt matter. | |
