Last Minute Summer Kickoff Special! Open concept lake house with spacious living areas, cathedral ceilings and high-up sunset views. This Viceroy cottage is located in a very private natural wooded setting. The property faces west, so from the dock, balcony, or large windows, you can experience spectacular sunsets. Eagle Lake is a clean, deep, and spring fed lake that welcomes all kinds of wildlife, including loons, herons, turtles, rabbits, and even wild turkeys in the fall. You would enjoy natural privacy on the 2.5 acres of forested land with 300' of waterfront. Explore the lake by canoe or kayak, or just take in the waves relaxing on the floating dock. The performance kayaks (one 16' and one 17') offer a smooth right-on-the-water ride. There is good fishing for bass, pike, lake trout and more, even some right off the dock. The private country road that winds along the peninsula through Eagle Lake is lovely for long walks. On top of a large hill with a flat meadow, the cottage offers expansive views through tall trees of the lake below. There are log steps heading down to the lake which connect separate and different areas for relaxing and lake viewing. Sliding glass doors and many windows provide lots of light, and allow a full breeze to circulate throughout. For those who want to stay connected there is Wifi and unlimited phone calls within Canada and the U.S. For relaxing in front of a movie in the evenings, there is a 46" flatscreen TV. - New larger floating dock, and wide deck on shore! - The cottage sleeps 3 people max - Because of the elevated deck, this place is not suitable for small children - There is No Smoking inside the cottage - Please bring your own linen, sheets and towels etc.
We provide comforters, blankets, pillows, tablecloths, propane for the gas BBQ, and offer a well equipped kitchen. This cottage has been enjoyed and well cared for by my family for many years, and we ask that you also treat the place with good care. I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy a lake country vacation at Cottage in the Treetops.

| We had a lovely time at Cottage in the Treetops and really appreciated spending time at this beautiful classic 60's cottage surrounded in a very private, quiet, spotless cottage with well stocked amenities.
We really appreciated Nina's call while at the cottage to confirm if we had any questions or concerns.
Both the dock area and the cottage area were both very private and surrounded in nature.
This cottage setting was so peaceful and gorgeous sunsets to boot. The water front was weed free and the crystal clear water was inviting.
The new dock worked really well getting in and out of the kayaks.
We look forward to being able to return to this cottage again sometime in the future.

| Very nice swimming, very quite, in fact one evening we could here the heavy rain coming in from the north, through the forest(no wind)and before hitting the water and took 5mins before getting to us, very cool. Watched a mink hunting along the rocky/wooded shore as well. My wife and I were here three years ago and LOVE it here. We are unsure of what we want to do as each summer comes along, so with that being said if the rest of Canada would not mind booking any weeks in August for the next 2-4 years that would be very appreciative from both of us.... LOL......ENJOY CANADA!!!

| Great place, private very good tree count on the property and will definitely be returning. Climbing the hill is a good thing, helps keep the beer/pretzels and calories balanced out. At least that is what I told myself. This area gives you a much different feel then Haliburton or Muskoka. Go check out the town of Westport.

| Here's the deal. I love this cottage. To me, it has all the essential ingredients you want in a summer getaway. It's on the magnificent and ever so serene Eagle Lake. It has a spectacular view of said lake where you can idle the time away watching the sun dip beyond the horizon with your cocktail of choice (I recommend a negroni). The beds are comfy. The shower is hot. Kitchen's stocked. Wifi is rock solid. And there are kayaks and a canoe for your leisure should you get the itch to leave the comfort of the premises and go on an adventure to one of the adorable islands nearby. Yes, there's a bit of a hill to get down to the lake but it's very manageable. In my opinion, this place can do wrong. It's a slice of Canadian utopia if you're into that sort of thing. Just don't book when I want to go. :)

| Our family (2 adults, one 12 year old son) spent some time at the cottage this past May. We enjoyed the privacy of the location and separation from the neighbors. We went paddling in the canoe a couple of times and were intrigued by the natural beauty of Eagle Lake and the wildlife (turtles sunning on rocks!). The view from the deck is spectacular and we spent much of our time there. As some of the other reviews have mentioned, the trip down to the shore line would be a challenge for some so this cottage may not be best for the aged or very young. Access from the parking area to the cottage (and kitchen) is very convenient. We were there in May and mosquitoes were a bit of an issue at that time of year, but that is to be expected for this part of the world. The drive in from the main road is a bit of a challenge so be prepared for an adventure when arriving and leaving. The Internet was much appreciated, as was the fact that we could bring our little dog. The cottage itself was modest but accommodating and the hot shower worked well. Note the lack of laundry at the cottage. All in all, we had a peaceful and relaxing getaway and would recommend to anyone looking for same.
