Make lasting memories in this 3 Bedroom all cedar cottage on a beautiful "point" location out in Cameron Lake. Please note this is a weekly rental property only - no weekends.

Our beautiful property is located on the leeward side of Diehl's point, with direct views/access to the bay side and great views to the west of the Lake. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets with a gentle breeze coming across the point! Large dock with ladder access to the cozy beach, great swimming and plenty of decking right on the shoreline insure great times/fun for the whole family. Cameron Lake is part of the Trent Severn Waterway which means boating options are endless. Within a 10 minute walk from the cottage down the Private Road is the old "Old Victoria Rail Lines". This fantastic trail is tree lined and meanders along the Cameron Lake shore line. It is used for walking, running, cycling, ATV's and snowmobiling. You can literally go to Haliburton on this old rail line trail.

The cottage is an original Panabode which is comprised completely of 4 inch tongue and groove cedar planks built around a rugged stone fireplace. The first thing that always hits us, in the spring or after being away for a while, is the smell of cedar when you walk into the cottage. The cottage has a large picture window facing the bay and 2 of the 3 bedrooms have direct views to the bay. The third back bedroom with the 2 single beds has partial views of the lake. Attached to the cottage is a very large deck for relaxing and it is attached to a 150 year old log cabin. The log cabin is a great place to grab some quiet time or for the kids to escape mom and dad for a little while. The cottage itself is only 45 feet to the shoreline but is elevated on top of a stone wall.

Thank you Liz and Kent for once again sharing your amazing cottage with myself and my family. Sorry for the late review, I somehow missed writing it. We had another fantastic week at my favorite place in the world. As usual, we arrived to a spotless environment with all the amenities that we could ask for. It was so nice to catch up with friends and family while enjoying time on the spacious upper deck. Your neighbors are very friendly and considerate. We were lucky enough to spend some time at Kerr Beach and Bob even supplied the beer! Always a pleasure returning to Cameron Lake and as a former cottager here, I will always have a special place in my heart for this area. I'm again looking forward to my visit this July 2023 and sure it will be a fantastic time as always.
Thank you again Liz and Kent, see you in 6 months........

We have never stayed in a cottage as nice as this one, nor as expensive. Apparently it was the family cottage of the current owners(brother and sister) and they treat it still as their own. It's
a beautifully appointed, extremely well equipped wooden dwelling with new windows and what appears to be a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen. I don't know how you you make
your coffee, but the equipment is here for you! The china is lovely and appears to have been bought yesterday. There are modern comfortable deck chairs everywhere, six at a large iron
table on the huge deck just outside the side door. Ah yes, there is also a large Broil King barbecue that looks like new. We were asked to bring our own beach towels, but otherwise,
everything you could possibly ask for is here and the place was spotless! The bedrooms are large; the beds very comfortable. Fenelon Falls, a lovely little town, is five minutes away. The road into the cottage is lined with magnificent tall trees, as is the entire cottage property. This causes the lot to be mostly in the shade all day long. The cottage also faces east, so no sunsets and no
afternoon sun, which we missed.

Final analysis: cottage or situation? Fabulous cottage but we didn't like the lack of sun and were dismayed by the lack of internet. We were told up front that it is not good but in fact because of an apparently broken Bell box, we were without internet the entire week (at $300 a night!)

We highly recommend this cottage! It provided us with a fully equipped kitchen, bed linens, and all paper products. We were fortunate to have perfect weather, so ate every meal on the spacious deck enjoying the lake view and a multitude of birds (osprey, kingfisher, woodpecker etc.). The location is quiet and private, yet the neighbours are happy to help or just say hello. Sugarbush Trail is perfect for after dinner walks and sunset pictures. There is easy access to the Rail Trail for quick bike rides into town or longer ones the other way to the Burnt River. We also enjoyed the canoe and 2 kayaks for further wildlife discoveries (otter, great blue heron). Thank you, Kent and Elizabeth, for sharing your cottage with us; we would love to return!

A Big Thank you to you as well!!! ... you were wonderful guests and we will see you next year. Your care for our family cottage was much appreciated!

Thank you Liz and Kent for sharing your wonderful cottage with myself and my family. We had a spectacular week and fully enjoyed all that Fenelon Falls and Cameron Lake have to offer. Upon arrival, we found the place immaculate with many incidentals provided. Love that coffee bar! Being a former Cameron Lake cottage owner, I felt instantly at home and your place is filled with such charm and character it only adds to the relaxing setting. The many interesting artistic hangings and lamps in the cottage are such timely pieces that only serve to enhance it's cozy feeling. The view of the lake is wonderful and we enjoyed many moonlit nights while sitting on the upper deck, which is also where we ate all our meals. Couldn't be a better spot! Thank you again Liz and Kent, I'm already looking forward to returning next year. Until then........

David .... you and the Fam are welcome back anytime and we will be keeping a spot for you for next year..... Thanks for leaving the cottage in mint shape ... too bad that Kerr guy up the road was so tight with his beer ... Thank You!!

Wonderful cottage! Clean, great water views and outdoor space. Was very nice to be so close to town incase we needed anything. The enclosed deck was very useful for keeping our dog and child safe. Host was excellent and helpful. Will come back next year!
