This is a great vacation spot for families!! A four-season cottage that sits on Beautiful Patterson Lake - just a short 1-hour drive from Ottawa, 1.5 hours from Kingston or 3.5 hours from Toronto. Patterson Lake is a spring fed crystal clear lake. Enjoy the shallow waterfront, the large fenced deck attached to the cottage or the dock that extends into a swimming, fishing or kayaking paradise. This quintessential Canadian Cottage has all the amenities to make you feel comfortable but still enjoy a vacation in nature and by the water. In the main cottage, there are three bedrooms plus a four-piece bath, a living/ dining area, kitchen, and a large deck for outdoor dining and relaxing. There is an additional tent trailer (steps from the cottage) that provides extra sleeping space.(requested at time of booking) You will also enjoy a BBQ, TV, DVD, wifi, propane fire table, firepit and wonderful views of the lake.
The waterfront provides walk in access to the crystal-clear lake and a dock, where you can enjoy the use of 3 kayaks, a canoe and a Stand Up Paddle Board. The kids will also enjoy the: kids kayaks, sand toys, sand area, mini-slide and the 6ft x 15 ft floating water mat. Sorry, there is no boat docking available.
This would be ideal for two families as the cottage and accompanying trailer provide side by side accommodations.
Well behaved dogs with responsible owners that clean up after them are welcome.

| We really enjoyed our 2 week stay. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. We loved being on the lake, which was very quiet, and made good use of all the water "toys". We enjoyed hanging out on the large deck, the small deck and the landings on the stairs going down to the lake. These gave us lots of room to spread out. The cottage was in the trees and when we sat on the deck or looked out the windows we felt we were in a tree house! We're already looking forward to our visit next year.

| My husband and I and our 2 dogs stayed at this cottage from July 24th to the 30th. The cottage was lovely, updated, clean and had everything we needed! The deck off the cottage had a gate which came in handy with having the dogs with us. LOTS of outdoor space! The lake was pretty quiet and the water was warm enough to swim almost every day (our last full day the weather cooled). No complaints and would definitely rent it again!

| Our family had a wonderful stay. There were lots of water toys for the entire family to use such as SUP, kayaks for adults and kids, a canoe and floating water mat. Our kids were able to fish right off the dock for curious sun fish too.
The cottage was clean and well organized with all of the basics we needed and the outside deck was perfectly setup for bar b que and dinners outside. We had a fantastic stay!

| Nice quiet lake with lots of wildlife (loons calling, bullfrogs croaking, etc.). Everything was as the renter describes - no surprises. Cottage was well maintained and comfortable, with ceiling fans throughout to keep the air moving.
Since the weather didn't always cooperate during our stay, we appreciated that the cottage has lots of children's toys and a small selection of DVDs that kept our two kids (2 and 5) entertained when we were stuck inside. There is a large sandy play area by the water with a slide and lots of trucks and sand equipment - the kids spent a lot of time there, and in and out of the water with its nice nice gradual entry.
Also nice was the presence of a latch and lock on the deck area so that we could let our 2 year old play out on the deck with trucks or in the kiddie pool when we too busy (prepping meals etc.) to be down by the lake with him.
Our cell reception (rogers network) was spotty/poor - I share that for information, not really as a complaint.
