Oceanfront on PEI's South Shore! Desired Haven Cottages are located on PEI's south shore - 111 Desired Haven Lane, Route 19 in Argyle Shore. The South Shore is known for beautiful red sandstone cliffs and miles of sandbars for walking and exploring the beach at low tide. We are centrally located about a 30-minute drive from Charlottetown, and about 50-minutes from Summerside. We have 4 air-conditioned cottages on 4 acres right on the shore - quiet and private with forested areas. You can walk to the shore from each cottage in about 30 seconds. Swim and explore tidal pools; see seabirds, seals and other wildlife; enjoy a campfire. Desired Haven is a perfect setup for family groups and reunions. The cottages are fully equipped, air conditioned and electrically heated - full kitchen, dishes and cutlery. Fridge, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, propane BBQs, picnic tables, beach chairs, bedding, towels, patios, cable, flat-screen TVs and DVD, coin laundry, firepits, playground, forest maze, DVD movies, books, and games. Some firewood is usually available. Cottage 1: three-bedroom with one queen and two doubles Cottage 2: three-bedroom with double beds Cottage 3: two-bedroom with queen beds Cottage 4: three-bedroom with double beds Free Wifi available at all units Pets are permitted based on approval from owner - Pet fee $100/ week.
Special permission is required for hosting events at the cottages.
There are 4 golf courses less than 10 minutes away, and just a 15-minute drive to the Town of Cornwall for groceries, bakery, restaurants, pizza, gas, automotive service, liquor store, pharmacy, hair salon, hockey school, coffee shops.

| We've just returned from PEI and staying at these cottages with family. We all loved our stay and found the cottages to be sparkling clean and efficient as a base from which to explore PEI. We really appreciated the AC as the weather was extremely hot when we visited and the kids liked that the cottages had wifi. The beds are comfy and had crisp white linens. Plenty of towels were provided. Basics like cleaner, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels and coffee filters were already there which was welcome as we had travelled a long distance to get to PEI, less to pack. The beach area was the best. You have to go down a steep set of stairs to access but we all managed. We spent hours finding starfish, crabs, shells and even sea glass. Just a few minutes away from the cottages is Argyle Shores Park with a beautiful sandy beach as well. The hosts were lovely and easy going. Ruth helped us find where to buy lobster and a birthday cake on short notice for a family birthday occurring the day after our arrival. We all had a great vacation and would return to these cottages again.

| This is my my second at Desired Havens and I have to say these cottages will not disappoint. Located on the south shore on the beautiful Northumberland Strait. You can walk the sandy beach for miles. My favorite part was the shelter fire area. A great area to spend time with family and friends!

| The grounds are so well cared for, exploring around the paths in the woods around the property is a pleasure. The view from the cliffs is breathtaking and the sandstone below make for beautiful pictures. Perfect location for capturing on film! The hosts are gracious and very hospitable and friendly.

| We had a great week, loved your cottage and the location. Our host (Ruth) gave us a list of things to do on the island(with her recommendations) providing suggestions of places to eat, beaches, deep sea fishing, etc. All the stuff that comes with the cottage, board games, sports equipment, fire pit, firewood, all the little extras inside the cottage as well, etc, etc, make for a worry and hassle free week. I would not hesitate to return to your cottage and highly recommend to anyone.

| We had a very nice escape from the busy Montréal. The cottage was cozy and clean, the view was amazing . The cottage was well equipped and we felt at home. We had our own private view of the beach with fast access to the stairs towards the water! We recommend this place for couples or a family of 3-4.
