Cottage was clean. Tony is a great host! Provided us with firewood, and a few other things to make the stay very pleasant. Beach is a short walk away. Cottages are close to each other but it's OK.

Average stay.
We weren't given the full address so beware: there is an identical address 40mins North that also goes by Lakerange Cottages but is unrelated.
Cute place, nice location (lots of birds to watch; the beach is a short walk) but the cottages are very close together. If you are claustrophobic, this may not be the place for you because the bedrooms are small (which is fine in general) but the furniture inside them isn't (the second bedroom's bed is wall-to-wall). Lots of insects inside the cottage (which can be expected in the country) but it tells me that a sweep of the place wasn't done before we got there. There was a nickel-to-quarter sized bright red blood smear on the wall next to the bed (mosquito), and bugs had been killed and left where they were in the main bedroom and the kitchen. The stove had one working burner, which we weren't told about; one element was unplugged and we didn't want to risk using it; one knob was missing on the stove; and the third burner just didn't work.
We had an ok time but didn't unpack, didn't feel very relaxed.

Owner response:
Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your honesty. We work very hard to ensure all of our guests enjoy their stay with us to our fullest extent. We are disappointed some items were not satisfactory to you and wish we were notified during your stay so we could have rectified any concerns you may have had. We did check with you and nothing was mentioned. We understand people's time off from work and on vacation is precious and we want to ensure it's as comfortable as you expect. If you have any further feedback as always please feel free to call and discuss. Stay safe.

My 2 teenagers and I rented Cottage A for a week and had a wonderful time. The cottage is small and cozy but has everything you need. To our pleasant surprise, it was even equipped with a smart TV with Netflix and YouTube, and although the connection wasn't always the best, we still made use of it!
If you are looking for complete privacy, this isn't the place as there are other neighbours very close by and you are also right beside a busy road. But the owner Tony lives on the same property and is very helpful when you need him. We had a power outage one evening, and Tony brought us candles, and also later connected us with his generator. The municipality shut off the water for a few hours one day, and Tony provided us with workable solutions. My son forgot his toothbrush and Tony offered to go to the store for us and also bought darts so that we could play with the board in the yard! As much as Tony is helpful and available when you need him, he also gives you space to enjoy your time there.
The beach is a 5-7 minute walk away and very private. There is also a very nice public beach which is a 5 minute drive away from the cottage, which also wasn't too crowded. There are antique shops nearby, go karting on Hwy 21 and lots to see and do in nearby Kincardine. You will find the best sunsets along any of the local beaches!
We had fires and roasted marshmallows almost every night, and had a very relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this cottage!

This is a great get away. Cottage has all that you need and Tony is a great host. He's there if you need him. Lake is a short walk away, dog friendly and short drive to a store for supplies if needed. It was super relaxing and would happily come back again. Thanks again Tony!!
