Welcome to our family's waterfront cottage along the Ottawa River. This private 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat comfortably sleeps 8 adults and is ideal for families or small groups looking to relax and enjoy time by the water. We are now offering flexible stays with a minimum of three nights, in addition to weekly rentals. | We spent a lovely, relaxing week at Brown's Bay Retreat. It is located on a most beautiful section of the Ottawa River. The cottage itself was large, well supplied, and beautifully decorated. Many hummingbirds came to the feeder in the window of the sunroom, and were special to watch. The fire pit was great; it was a rectangular one (not the chiminea we saw in the photos) that had a grill and lid that could be removed for marshmallow and hot dog roasting. The beach was only accessible from the stairs on the dock, and interestingly, the water level changes significantly each day due to the dam upstream, but it worked fine for our family. Our kids loved fishing from the sit on top kayaks, and paddling around the nearby islands. The owners were very welcoming and easy to work with. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cottage with us!
