Since 2015, Whispering Pines is the most popular cottage rental on Cottages In Canada in the Orillia and Simcoe area, and has welcomed over 150 happy famillies. The cottage is often booked up to a year in advance, with a waiting list every summer. Over 80% of guests are repeat groups who return to the cottage year after year. Summer 2024 rates were $4,950 per week. Early bird rates for summer 2025 is $4,500. RENTAL OPTIONS: Between October and June each year, the cottage often hosts long-term tenants including famillies who need monthly accommodations, employees with extended working projects, and contractors. WATERFRONT LOCATION: The waterfront cottage is directly situated on beautiful Bass Lake with shallow water and sandy bottom with fantastic swimming. BEST shores of the lake facing due south with incredible sun exposure all day. Lake is warm by the May long weekend and straight through until Thanksgiving. Whispering Pines Cottage is located only 1 hour north of Canada's Wonderland / GTA and just minutes from the town of Orillia, Casino Rama, Horseshoe Valley Golf & Ski, and Mt. St. Louis Moonstone. It is perfectly situated on a beautiful and small lake with spring fed water, approximately 2 miles by 3 miles with a sandy bottom. The water is warm and shallow and ideal for swimming, fishing, canoeing and waterskiing.
OUTDOOR FEATURES:
The idyllic setting is its most unique feature. It breathes peace and tranquility among beautiful tall trees. Guests feel like they are in cottage country each time they step out the door onto a very large wrap around deck over looking the water, large new patio furniture, and dining table for 8. The deck overlooks a flat grass lot perfect for badminton, soccer, sun lounging and a new outdoor firepit at the waters edge. Enjoy incredible and panoramic views of the lake, sunrise and beautiful sunsets directly in front of their eyes.
The whole family can gather at the water's edge with a large new dock installed in 2024 that fits 4 Muskoka chairs and two loungers perfectly situated for sunbathing and swimming through a shallow entry for all ages to enjoy a splash in the lake. Water is warm, bottom is sandy and the incredible lake is calm and very quiet, with minimal boat traffic. Summertime guests often wonder if they are the only people on the whole lake. All activities for an amazing vacation are on site including canoe, 2 kayaks, paddles, windsurf board, lifejackets, volleyball, BBQ with natural gas, large basketball net, and bikes.
In winter months, guests will enjoy the most relaxing and well-deserved break from daily life by cross-country skiing along the lake, ice skating, or taking a visit to any of the ski hills including Horseshoe Valley, Moonstone, and Hardwood Hills, all located minutes away.
INDOOR FEATURES:
The two-story cottage is very spacious with four bedrooms and two full piece bathrooms. 8 adults can comfortably stay at the cottage. The master bedroom is large with a new pillow top king size bed, and on its own floor for additional privacy. The second bedroom hosts a queen size bed, the third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed, and the fourth bedroom has a single bed.
The entire open concept cottage has 15 foot ceilings, new custom hardwood floors, air conditioning, ceiling fans throughout and plenty of seating. The dining room has a large table with an adjacent great room. All areas have large windows, and an oversized sliding door has just been installed with breathtaking views of the lakeside, and walkout access to the deck where guests can enjoy the new barbeque and dine in the fresh air.
The inside is very clean, and was completely renovated from top to bottom in 2022, newly furnished and tastefully decorated on both levels. There is a new custom kitchen with stone countertops, new stainless steel appliances and new hardwood floors throughout. The family room has just been entirely renovated with extra large custom designed pool table, big screen 50 inch TV, brand new ping pong table, foosball table, and surround sound.
At the end of a day full of activity, enjoy peaceful moments around the large stone fireplace in the center of the living room.
AMENITIES:
Cottage rentals are structured with all of our guests' needs in mind. There is a dishwasher and washer and dryer on site.
Rentals include new bedding, towels, coffee maker, kettle, and all kitchenware on site for cooking and baking. There are 2 big screen TV's, each on a separate floor which offer satellite for hours of entertainment. Includes a large and brand new BBQ, oversized custom pool table, a new foosball table, large outdoor basketball net, and unlimited wifi with strong signal.

| Whispering Pines was a perfect place for our family of 6 adults to reconnect and make more memories together. From the moment we walked in the door we were delighted. Thoughtfully designed (and very clean) interior featured a wall of windows overlooking the lake, a great open plan kitchen with modern appliances, lots of bedrooms with comfy beds and many spaces to sit together or in small groups or alone, inside or out in the shade or sunshine. The September weather was spectacular & we swam, paddled, fished every day. Sunsets on the dock & evenings at the campfire or playing boardgames. It was terrific. Close to Orillia for quick trips to get firewood or other essentials, and less than 2 hours drive from the GTA. We can't wait to return! Thanks Stacie for all your care & attention.

| We visited Whispering Pines over the winter break for a couples' getaway. It was unbelievable!! We had previously stayed at their other stunning lakehouse on a huge lot and our favourite guesthouse from the same gracious and kind hosts. Both cottages are a designers' dream, especially if you like to cook, BBQ or bake. The views are spectacular. Love the fact that the owners think of everything such as extra linens and towels so it made our packing very easy. The two levels gave us lots of room to roam around, and the downstairs games room was a bonus. We took long walks on the frozen lake, we saw young kids skating nearby and it was very peaceful. We enjoyed skiing at Moonstone and splurged at the Vetta spa nearby as the location is ideal. We are booked again for 2 weeks in July with our kids, can't wait to go back.

| To Whispering Pines Cottage,
We can't say enough great things about this cottage and the owners. This was our first time booking through the website Cottages in Canada. Dealing with Stacie, made the booking process seamless. She was extremely quick with replying to our emails and answering all of the questions we had regarding the cottage and our stay.
As far as the cottage goes, it was absolutely beautiful. Very well kept and clean and the outdoor space was great for everyone, including our two 15 month olds to play during the day.
The owners were very accommodating allowing us to check in early. We also experienced a personal delay prior to checking out and Stacie was very compassionate and understanding, quickly getting in touch with us offering for us to stay until we were able to get the matter sorted out. During that time we left one of our kids' toys at the cottage. Stacie went out of her way to make sure the toy was mailed home to us promptly.
We would highly recommend this cottage to friends and family to visit.

| We had an absolutely fabulous time! So many great things to remember! Everybody in our family found something to enjoy: swimming, cooking, playing pingpong, billiard, foosball table, watching movies with the whole family, enjoying the fireplace... And the list is still going on and on... We couldn't imagine a better vacation and still we got even more!
The cottage is very stylish and made with a great taste. Sunset is phenomenal. We couldn't believe we found such an amazing family retreat just about an hour away from our busy city. Absolutely looking forward to visiting this magical place again!

| LOVED OUR STAY!
The cottage is super clean also has everything you need, absolutely love the entertainment in the basement and there are so many activities indoor and out you will never be bored or you can just relax by the beautiful water. We enjoyed swimming and fishing, great for kids as there is a shallow entry, Location is also awesome very close to everything which is a bonus!! We had an amazing time and will definitely be returning. The host is super kind and very fast at replying to emails so if you're looking for a place to either kick back or have fun, I highly recommend Whispering Pines.
