| Our hosts, Jaye and Doug, went above and beyond in welcoming us and providing just the right amount of interaction to make us feel at home - from allowing us to store my husband's astrophotography equipment early (so we could avoid making two trips in one day with our small car) to offering a number of suggestions for places to visit and enjoy local fare.
The cottage was everything we hoped it would be. Comfortable beds, more-than adequate storage, great towels, a wonderfully stocked kitchen, large and up-2-date appliances (best refrigerator and freezer accommodating all our food storage requirements), large clothes washer and dryer, ceramic-top stove with oven and fully functioning flat panel TV. Jay and Doug have also provided the wi-fi service which is internet-connected via a highly reliable fibre link with the best rural service we have experienced - content streaming works very well, too.
The west-facing cottage setting is without a doubt the most calming and uplifting we could hope for, overlooking the eastern Northumberland Strait with its ever-changing tapestry of clouds and surface colours and textures along with evening's entertainment - the stunning and magnificent sunsets which seemed to last for hours (a photographer's dream scape).
Eagles soar and preen; seals basking on Jaye's beach, whales and mackerel school runs and daily visits from Sydney and Lila, (the host dogs)all contributed to our most enjoyed cottage vacation - ever. We will return.

| Spent a fantastic month working remotely from this beautiful spot. If you like energizing walks on the beach, fantastic sunsets, and a very private comfortable modern home this place is for you. It's a short drive from the adorable town of Antigonish with some great eateries. Highly recommend this place and Doug and Jaye are amazing hosts. Can't wait to go back!

| Jaye and Doug and have provided a beautiful, unbelievably well appointed home away from home, that has a calm, cool vibe with ocean vistas that are insane. These two certainly know how to design, outfit, decorate and provide a place and experience that is sure to surpass what you might expect. Honestly, the cleanliness and newness of everything really made us think we might have been the first guests in this beautiful home. Dwell magazine readers would love this space. Thanks again Jaye, Doug and Sydney.

| We have just returned from an awesome week spent at Jaye and Doug's cottage. They were amazing hosts and were warm and welcoming while also allowing us to have total privacy. The cottage is beautiful and kitted out with everything that you would need in the kitchen, bedroom etc. There are even beach chairs that we used on the expansive private beach. The views from the cottage and especially the deck areas are breathtaking. The roadway in is a little rugged so take it slow on your way in. The cottage is very private but under a 10 minute drive to a local store and a local distillery. You will not be disappointed.
