Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. I would, however, like to clarify a few points in your review, as several of the statements do not accurately reflect the accommodation or the information provided in the listing.
The hair salon is located in the other half of the garage, but I only work there three days a week. Of those days, there is only one day when I work from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; on the other days I finish around 4 p.m. During a 10-day stay, there are therefore many days when there is no salon activity at all. Guests also generally spend their days out exploring the area, so I was surprised to see the salon hours presented as though this were an everyday occurrence.
Regarding the air conditioning, while the air conditioner is located in the salon, guests can keep the connecting door open and benefit from the cool air. The accommodation remains quite comfortable this way. I understand that you would have preferred the air conditioning to be located directly inside the unit, but that is different from saying that the unit has no access to the cool air.
I also want to clarify the bathroom situation. The bathroom provided for the bachelor is private and was not shared with my clients or other guests. When I am working, I specifically have my clients use the bathroom in my home so that my rental guests can have their own private bathroom. Therefore, the statement that the bathroom is shared is not accurate.
As for the ocean view, I agree that there is not a full ocean view from the bachelor. The ocean is approximately a one-minute walk down the street, where guests can enjoy the view and beautiful sunsets. I have never advertised a private beach. My listing states that Parlee Beach is only a few minutes' drive away.
Regarding the electricity, the electrical system does not require an upgrade. Because the bachelor is located within my garage, there is a limitation where using certain higher-powered appliances at the same time can trip the breaker. The breaker is easily accessible to guests, and this has never been an ongoing issue with my previous guests.
I have been welcoming guests for 10 years, and this is my first negative review of this nature. I always appreciate genuine feedback and am happy to clarify anything that may have been misunderstood. My goal is to make sure future guests have a clear and accurate understanding of the accommodation before booking.
