| We had a fantastic week in the family retreat. Received a warm, friendly greeting from the hosts on our arrival. Lots of extra touches in the cottage itself which were not expected but very much appreciated. The water and dock area were great, the kids enjoyed using the kayaks, floaties and paddle boat. Entertainment for hours! Lovely seating area on the dock, and on the cottage deck. Cottage itself is beautifully kept, you have everything in there you could possibly need and more! Great location, beautiful lake and falling asleep to the sound of the loons was so peaceful. We will be back!

| After renting the cottage for the first time in 2022, we ended up renting it again in 2023 and are now booked for 2024 (See 2022 review by Edwin). The cottage and its surrounds are so lovely and peaceful that we keep coming back. The owner's, Janet and Gary, are wonderful. They make us feel like we are family.
We look forward to coming back this summer.

| One month after renting the cottage in July 2022, we have already booked it for July 2023. My wife and I had no intentions of renting it two years in a row, but we love everything about it and have to go back.
The location is remote enough that the lake is not ringed with cottages with noisy SeaDoos. The topography is well forested with granite outcrops which makes a tranquil scene when sitting at the end of the dock. It has been decades since I have seen and heard so many loons. The water at the end of the dock is deep enough to dive in to and there is a small sandy beach for wading. The grounds that surround the cottage are treed but open enough to have a nice view of the lake and sunshine on the deck. With such lovely surrounds to gaze upon, we ate most of our meals on the deck and got good use of its gas barbeque.
The building is a log cabin style construction which makes it look and feel like a real cottage and not a condo by the lake. The cottage is super clean, the beds are comfy, and the grounds are well maintained. My sister slept in the little adjacent cabin and she said that it has been a long time since she slept so well. While staying here we were able to detach from work and relax. I played Scrabble for the first time in years and we got good use of one of the canoes.
The hosts are super nice and treated us like friends instead of customers.
If you are looking to unplug in a beautiful environment, this cottage is a good choice.

| We had a lovely October weekend at the Family Retreat. The cottage was charming and comfortable, the grounds were spacious with a nice lawn area for the kids to play, as well as a large dock by the water with a beautiful view of the lake. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could have possibly needed and Janet and Gary had left a little welcome package for the kids, which was very sweet. We would highly recommend this cottage for a family get away. We hope to come back again next year!

| What a wonderful place to vacation!! A cute little cottage with everything you could possibly need on a pristine lake is exactly what we were looking for. The cottage was immaculate upon arrival, plenty of space to accommodate 7 people very comfortably. Plenty of water toys were available for our crew and we spent seven days on the lake, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Gary was so kind and took us on a tour by boat to explore the lake. It's a 5 Star experience and would recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a family getaway from the city and totally disconnect from electronic devices
