Summer 2025 bookings are OPEN! Available dates: July 13-18 (5 nights) $1100 July 20-25 (5nights) $1100 August 24-29 (5 nights) $1100 September 1-4. (4nights) $880 Summer rentals are Sunday to Friday as we reserve the use of the cottage on the weekends for our family. Outside of summer we offer year round rentals with open dates, including weekends. We are a DOG FRIENDLY rental. No cats due to allergies in the family. Mostly finished, new construction, 4 bedroom/ 2 bath 1400sq ft cottage on beautiful Lake Winnipeg's Traverse Bay. East facing living area with cathedral ceiling and large windows facing the lake. Large living area boasts a wood burning stove, laminate floors throughout bedrooms and living area. Brand new kitchen with pine cabinets and vinyl floors, includes stove, fridge, dishwasher, air fryer, drip coffee maker, toaster and all pots and pans, dishes etc to create fabulous meals. A second fridge is available for use in the laundry room. Large unfinished deck facing the lake is available to use at your own risk, and a deck extension to the side door is under construction. Deck railings in progress fall 2024. Newer gas BBQ with dining set on the deck. Master bedroom with attached ensuite and second main bath services the three other bedrooms. Both bathrooms have full shower, sink and toilet. Large Mudroom/Laundry area has a stacked front loading washing machine and dryer. There is a clothesline outside near the beach to hang your beach towels or other laundry All linens are provided.
2021 StarLink Wifi added. Wifi password provided in information binder at cottage. You will need to use your own Streaming platform logins on the Smart TV. HDMI cable connector to laptop cable also provided.
Master bedroom has a queen sized bed and one dresser. 2nd bedroom has queen sized bed (no dresser).
Two remaining bedrooms have single over double bunk beds, each with one dresser. Living room has older, double sized pull out sofa. Cottage can sleep up to maximum 12 people, but 9 comfortably.
Outdoor amenities include a kayak, canoe and paddle board available for your use (bring your own lifejackets). Owner's Aluminum boat is not available for renter's use. Various sized bicycles available for use. ATV trails are prolific in the area. A public beach is a short walk away. Your beachfront is part of the public reserve and depending on the wind and water conditions, there can be up to 10 feet of sandy beach, or nothing but wave protection rocks. Grand Beach and it's amenities is 20 minutes drive away. There is a convenience store, gas station and mini golf about 3km away.
2021 newly added permanent fire pit area completed. Renters must follow all fire bans posted by the Rural Municipality of Alexander. Please refer to their website for the most up to date details.
Tap water is not drinkable, please bring your own drinking water. Water needs to be trucked in and septic trucked out so please use water wisely. "Cottage rules" for water use apply.
Finish carpentry is not completed in the cottage (no baseboards, door/window casings) and some walls are awaiting interior finishing, but are coated with spray foam insulation. Large, wraparound deck is unfinished, and railing installation is in progress. This is available to use at your own risk. All aspects of the cottage are functional including kitchen appliances, and plumbing, only cosmetic finishes remain to be completed.
Dogs are allowed. It's the responsibility of the renter to clean up after them, and keep them contained on the property.

NOTES Check in after 4pm Sunday, Check out by 11am the following Sunday. Security deposit of $250 required at the time of contract as well as 50% of the rent. Balance remaining due 30 days before start of booking. Security deposit will be returned within 4 weeks after departure. If the cottage renter cancels a reservation he/she shall only be entitled to a 50% refund of the deposit and there will be no refund if the cottage owner is notified of the cancellation in less than 21 days before the rental term and the cottage could not be rented to another qualified renter. | Exactly as advertised! The cottage has everything needed for a wonderful, relaxing stay on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. The rental process was easy, the expectations are clear, the owners are great to deal with and the cottage delivers on all it promises. We had an excellent week and look forward to the next time we can stay and unwind.

| The cottage was as advertised. We were a large group-9 adults, 3 children and a dog. It was well equipped with everything we needed to have a very comfortable stay. The view from the living room and deck is spectacular in the morning when the sun comes up and is a great place to enjoy your coffee.
The area is quiet and peaceful with a lot of places to walk either on the roads or along the lakefront.
Two fridge/freezers, two bathrooms, the use of bicycles, canoes, a kayak and paddleboard added to the appeal of this cottage as well as the large selection of movies, games and toys.
The owners were available at any time and answered any questions promptly.
We had a great week and look forward to returning to this cottage!

| We had a wonderful time at this cottage! It had a very cozy atmosphere, and we felt very at home quickly. The views from both inside the spacious living room with floor to ceiling windows, and the beautiful large deck was fantastic. There was plenty to do both indoors and out. We had a great time canoeing, kayaking, and using the body board. There was a whole closet filled with family games and a shelf full of a great selection of movies to wind down in the evenings. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. There was even a slow cooker! We loved the location as it was close to Grand Beach. Our hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had, and were great to communicate with. We would definitely stay again!
