Waterfront

Our family cottage is one of only three waterfront rental properties nestled between Tobermory's two harbours. It occupies a premium location on the Peninsula which affords us stunning views of Big Tub Lighthouse and sunsets over the islands of Bruce Peninsula National Park. Watch the coming and going of the Chi-Cheemaun ferry and the wide variety of local and visiting boats from either of our two decks, or take a refreshing plunge into the crystal blue waters of the lake from our rocky shoreline.

We are only a five minute walk away from the quaint village of Tobermory, and you can walk to the Interpretive Centre in Bruce Peninsula National park in fifteen minutes. Some of the Park's most gorgeous locations are within a 15 minute drive of the cottage, including Little Cove, Singing Sands, Cyprus Lake and Halfway Log Dump.

The cottage is suitable for two to four adults, or two adults and up to three children. We rent weekly (Friday to Friday) in the summer, and for stays of three or more days in the shoulder seasons

My wife and I absolutely love this cottage. It holds special memories for us going back many years. It's filled with a charming, genuine, old fashioned 'cottagy' feel. The location is something out of a story book. When we visit, we are completely content with everything that is within walking (or sitting) distance. The town with its expansive scenic bay and Chi-Cheemaun dock is a 5 minute walk away. The view from the deck is not only right on the bay across from the lighthouse, its elevated quite high so you feel like you're in the balcony seats. I always feel like I'm on the French Riviera overlooking the Mediteranian. Complete privacy, unbeatable view and right next to town. It's hard to imagine anything we would enjoy more.

The pictures doesnt do the property and the views justice. It was well prepared and very comfortable for our family to spend time in. The location was excellent as we could easily walk and reach all attractions and amenities and was very convenient when the town center was extremely busy as we could easily get in and out.
Will definitely book again.

We had a wonderful 1 week stay at Sunset Getaway Cottage! We were two couples and the cottage was perfect for us. The multi-level deck is fabulous and we spent many hours out there relaxing, watching the boats, having our meals and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Having the fireplace was very cozy at night and enjoyed by all. The Tobermory area is beautiful with so many things to do. Hiking in the park, taking a boat trip to the Flowerpot Island, walking around the village, swimming in the crystal clear water and mountain biking were just a few of the things we enjoyed.
Hope to return to this magical place someday soon! :)

The cottage had everything we hoped for, a fabulous view, a great deck for watching the sunsets and the boats. Perfect five minute walk to Tobermory. The noise level from the Bruce Anchor tour boats was not an issue. We would go back. If you want a beautiful cottage getaway choose this one.

Owner response:
Thank you so much, Kim! We hope you will return in the future! All the best!

My husband and I took my parents to Tobermory for the first time and wanted to stay close to the main town and found this cottage here. We were here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it! The house is very cozy and we just cannot get enough of the decks! There are two levels and you have access right to the water from the bottom deck. It is a little noisy during sunset but you really cannot see anyone (unless they climb onto the rocks) so you do have the privacy. We didn't mind the crowd too much as everyone is there to enjoy the beautiful place! The cottage is well stock with what we needed to cook and BBQ. There is a super market close by. This cottage is perfect or 2 couples or a small family who just want to enjoy the area. Thank Jonathon and Alison for sharing their lovely cottage with us!

Owner response:
Thank you so much, Kitty! We are so happy that you enjoyed the cottage, and we hope that you will return in the future! The tour company has been very good at keeping people off of the rocks at the bottom of our property, but we will check to make sure that they are still enforcing this when we go back to the cottage this week. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review - we really appreciate it!
