Bright, spacious, 3-bedroom and 2 full bath cottage (over 2,600 square feet of living space including large covered deck) for rent. It is nestled in a natural nature setting surrounded by a semi-active farm (a few goats and a llama) and is very private but near everything! The cottage is located just a 10 minutes drive to the south of beautiful Kincardine. Breathtaking Lake Huron and a sandy beach are just a four minute walk down the laneway. The cottage includes a refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, Wifi, satellite and a 50" Smart TV. There is a large covered deck with zones for sitting, barbecuing or just listening to the birds sing! There is a fire pit in the backyard adjacent to the covered deck. Bring your own towels & linens; there are two queen beds and one king. Please also bring additional paper products (toilet paper, paper towels). The cottage is on the local municipal water supply so please do not bring bottled water to maintain our eco friendly lifestyle which includes composting all vegetable matter on site and organic farming. The cottage is cleaned using a non-chemical system to reduce allergies and sensitivities. It is heated with a wood stove in the off season, however an electric heat pump is also available for heating and cooling. A septic system is in use as well. Kincardine is known for some of the most unforgettable sunsets in the world! It has much to offer with many restaurants, live theatre, festivals, concerts, golf courses. Stores in town include Sobey's, No Frills, Shopper's Drug Mart, LCBO and the Beer Store. The famous Kincardine Pipe Band Parade is a Saturday night tradition (at 8 p.m. sharp) in this small town with a Scottish heritage. On Friday nights of every long weekend, there is a car show downtown. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out is 10:00 a.m.
A 50% booking deposit is required for reservation (by e-transfer or cash) as well as a credit card (or cash) for security deposit at the time of check-in.
Regrettably, we are not wheelchair accessible. Pets are not allowed.
*Firewood is available for purchase on site and custom made live edge tables, benches and other wood items are for sale (made on site).
If you want to book, PLEASE do so early, I've had many inquiries.
Thanks, Wayne

| This was a fantastic must see, cottage which is really understated as a cottage and should be called an Executive home away from home, it is really well maintained, has all the comforts of a modern home, including a fully loaded kitchen, piano, massive deck & patio, which resembles a hotel style setting, only its hidden away at the top of a form road which leads straight down to the beach. The host Wayne is so accommodating, he can arrange any thing you might need like additional fire wood, a canoe or some local knowledge of the area. I would recommend this place to very special people as a fantastic little secret get away location.
