New (2017) summer residence sits on a 1.5 acre oceanfront lot offering uncompromised views of the Northumberland Strait, Confederation Bridge and Cape Egmont Lighthouse. The historical Mont Carmel Church is within walking distance. The property offers a calm, quiet and private setting, yet it is less than 300 metres from the main road and 15 minutes away from Summerside, the second largest city on PEI. Our well appointed south facing oceanfront cottage offers wonderful daily sunrises and sunsets. On Sunday evenings, guests can walk to the parish hall for an enjoyable cultural evening filled with Acadian music and step dancing. The cottage offers spacious and bright living quarters with clear ocean views. The master bedroom has a powder room for added privacy. The covered screened-in porch will help guests take full advantage of the outdoors : rain or shine. A fire pit and outdoor chairs are present on the grounds for guests to enjoy nightly campfires. Adjacent to our property is an unsupervised private beach offering safe and warm bathing during low tide. Union Corner Provincial Park (beach) is a 2 minute drive. Cavendish is a 45 minute drive and Charlottetown is 65 minutes away. We supply quality linens and bedding, new Sealy Posturepedic mattresses, stainless steel cookware, dishes, cutlery, an outdoor BBQ and a picnic table. We kindly ask that guests bring their own beach towels. A no smoking policy is enforced. Harmonised sales tax (HST) is not applicable, therefore there are no additional fees.
