The Gingerbread Cottage is located on beautiful Bay Lake near Bancroft Ontario. The crystal clear water with a sandy lake bottom is excellent for swimming. INTERIOR DESCRIPTION This 2,000 sq ft cottage has room for the whole family! There are 5 bedrooms, 1 on the ground floor and 4 upstairs. There are 2 queens beds, 2 double beds, 1 single and a set of bunks. There is a newly renovated full bath on the ground floor and a two piece upstairs. The kitchen is large, with plenty of counter space and has a breakfast bar. The kitchen has plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. As well pots, pans and cooking utensils are available. There is a coffee maker, kettle and a blender for summer cocktails. There is a large dining room off of the kitchen with plenty of seating. A TV room faces the lake with an excellent view. There is a sitting room with a wood stove where you can relax and talk beside the kitchen. The cottage has a drilled well, with excellent water quality. EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION This level site is perfect for playing or relaxing. There is plenty of shady spots through the day or you can hang in the sun on the dock. A large private second floor deck provides a great space to escape. Bay Lake is crystal clear with excellent water quality. The water entry is shallow, weed free and is perfect for kids and adults alike. Enjoy some time relaxing on the dock, watching the ducks or loons swim by or you can spend the day fishing from the canoes or peddle boat. Ice fishing is open in the winter.

Just minutes outside of Bancroft the area has much to explore. Bancroft is the mineral capital of Canada and has old and active mines to visit.
There are several Provincial Parks in the area. Hike, bike or cross country ski, through Silent Lake Provincial Park and Algonquin Park. Take a day to go see the water falls and rapids of Egan Chutes.
There are several golf courses in the area with 18 hole Bancroft Ridge Golf Club only 10 minutes away.
Sir Sam's ski hill is about a 45 minute drive.
The access point to hundreds of km's of snowmobile and ATV trails is a short distance away.
Bancroft has many restaurants and shops to visit, along with grocery stores, banks, a Beer Store and a LCBO.

| We have stayed twice at Blake's cottage (June 2022 and June 2023), and both times have been great. The cottage is clean, and the lake is beautiful. We'll definitely book again!

| Recently spent 3 days and found everything we needed at the cottage. Very clean, comfy beds,well stocked kitchen, lots of room. Beautiful front room with fireplace and view of the lake. Great location, close to Bancroft for shopping. Blake was most accommodating! A real 'cottage' experience.

| Fantastic stay at the cottage. The cottage, lake and the surroundings are amazing! Nice shallow waters and breathtaking views on the Kayak/Canoe.
Blake was very responsive and was there to help with any issues that we had ( We had problems with our own car, not the cottage :) )
We will definitely look at renting this cottage again, looking forward to maybe even this winter.

| Our family had a wonderful time at the cottage, lovely to walk out to the dock and have coffee in the morning, prepare meals together in the open concept in the evenings, and enjoy a fire under the stars at night.
The access to water for swimming, boating and kayaking was great. We even made friends with a group of ducks!
Great communication, cleanliness, and hospitality.
