Welcome to our charming retreat on Acton Island, Bala, Muskoka! We're delighted to offer two newly renovated, cozy cottages designed to make your stay memorable. Our larger cottage is a perfect escape for families or friends, featuring three comfortable bedrooms, a stone wood-burning fireplace, and a screened-in Muskoka room to relax in. It includes two boat slips, two double beds, a queen bed, a propane BBQ, and a firepit. You'll also enjoy the convenience of air conditioning and dedicated parking for three cars. The smaller cottage, equally inviting, also boasts three bedrooms and one bath. It offers two queen beds and one double bed, along with its own screened-in Muskoka room. You'll find a propane BBQ with seating for six, a firepit, and a large boathouse deck for sunbathing. There's a boat slip and a heat pump for year-round comfort, plus dedicated parking for two cars. Both cottages provide easy access to a delightful swimming area with a sandy entry that leads to deeper water and a swim raft just 20 feet away. For those looking to explore the waters, Bala Cove Marina is just 10 minutes away and offers boat rentals for water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and scenic trips around Muskoka Lakes. If you prefer, you can also book a private boat charter with the friendly staff at Bala Cove Marina. Charming Bala is just a short drive away, where you can enjoy local favorites like Don's Bakery, The Kee to Bala, The Twig, and Ice Dreams Soda Shop. Explore quaint boutiques and eateries, or stock up on groceries at FreshMart, with a farmer's market across the road and the LCBO + Beer Store just around the corner. Don't miss the free Tuesday evening water ski show at Windsor Park on the lake!

These cottages are cooled and heated by heat pumps, a perfect retreat to see the Fall colours and hike one of the nature trails nearby, enjoy endless water activities in the summer. Cottages can be rented together for 12 person max. Or rented as single cottage with 6 person max.

| This was a great experience! The cottage was well maintained, brightly lit, and very clean. A short drive to great coffee and food if you'd like. Location is wonderful. Highly recommend!

| Our family stayed at Dorothy's place this past weekend and we had an excellent and very relaxing time. Dorothy is a wonderful host who made a special trip to bring water toys for the girls. She is very flexible and easy going. We would highly recommend this cottage as it was recently renovated, it is super clean, well stocked in all necessities and steps away from the lake. | Dorothy was a fantastic host! She was very quick to reply to all my messages and was enjoyable to deal with. The cottage was SO spacious & clean- even better in person than pictures. The hot tub was a nice touch for the very cold Feb nights. Has great access to the lake, which will be amazing during the summer months. I would recommend this spot to friends & family, and would definitely come back for another vacation during the summer.

| It is a great cottage, the bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen integrated with living and dining room is a good space to enjoy with your family and friends. We had good time there. Also, the view is amazing!

| This is our 2nd time at this cottage so you know what that means...we totally loved it. Had an amazing time here with the family. We went trail skating and snowmobiling. So much to do in the winter. It's another weekend down in the books. Also, Dorothy is awesome. She is such a great person to deal with. If anyone wants to rent a cottage, this is it. We will definitely be back again. I recommend it to every family who is looking for a weekend or a week away from the city. Thank you Dorothy!!!
