Welcome to our Northern Retreat - a beautiful lakefront getaway on Malcolm Lake, North Frontenac. Enjoy canoeing or using a rowboat to explore the quiet lake; reading on the dock; morning coffees overlooking the water; and evening bonfires with friends and family. The very private cottage offers tons of room for cooking, eating, playing, and lounging. Our three story cottage is modern and bright, but has a very warm and relaxed feeling to it. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with enough space throughout the cottage to easily accommodate a group of 6. The 1.5 acre property ensures plenty of privacy from the only neighbouring cottages. A canoe and rowboat are available to launch from the dock, and there is a large fire pit area for bonfires. The place is all yours while you stay at the Northern Retreat! But don't worry, we are always a phone call away and are available for questions and help anytime. Guests are responsible for their own food, linens, towels, toiletries, lifejackets, and recreational gear (fishing poles, etc). We ask that guests leave the cottage relatively clean and without damage, and use the outdoor fire pit safely and according to local fire regulations. Propane will be provided in the bbq. A $50 cleaning fee will also be added to each rental. + VIEW MORE - COLLAPSE Note: There are many things to explore within a short drive from the cottage: An Alpaca ranch, the North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve, Bon Echo National Park, and Sand Lake public beach. | As of group of 4 looking for a waterfront cottage on the Canada Day long weekend, we felt so lucky when Cameron's cottage came up as available. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The cottage is even more beautiful than the pictures depict. Whether BBQing on the patio, canoeing on the lake or watching the sun set over the water, this cottage provided maximum relaxation for all of us. With the windows open, the cottage was cool at night and the comfy beds made each evening quite cozy. Cameron was great at communicating with us, often responding to inquiries within minutes. Our group forgot something after our stay and he went out of his way to get it back to us. If you're looking for a peaceful, picturesque getaway, this Northern Retreat has it all!
