Treat yourself to a relaxing stay at a clean and charming cottage. Recently remodelled, this light filled cottage has a large, well appointed sun porch, and is less than 100 feet away from rolling sand dunes and 7 kilometers of beautiful sandy beaches. The gentle tides and sandbars make this long stretch of beach safe and family friendly, and on a clear day you can see Prince Edward Island across Northumberland Strait. This is Atlantic Canada's warmest salt water with water temperatures in July and August between 24 to 28 Celcius.
The cottage is 1400 square feet in size and situated on a private fenced in lot partially shaded by trees at the end of a private lane. The cottage is ideal for two couples or a small family. The large livingroom has two sliding doors and large windows that bring in a lot of natural light. There is a spacious master bedroom over the garage with a view of the beach and has its own bathroom, shower, and a walk in closet. The second bedroom is situated on the main floor along with another bathroom, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, vaulted ceiling in the living area with two sofas and two wing back chairs, a den with television and a 24 by 10 feet screened in porch. You can also choose to sit out on the new front patio and view the beach and feel the cool breezes.
It is a short 5 minute drive into the town of Cap Pele where you'll find everything you need, from groceries, a bakery and a liquor store, to many restaurants where you can try the local specialties, lobster rolls and fried clams. Fresh lobster is always available from one of the local seafood shops and in August during the lobster season for south eastern NB, you can purchase lobster directly from fisherman on the wharf as they come in with their catch of the day.
The town of Shediac is only a 10 minute drive away. Known as the "lobster capital of the world", there are many more restaurants and amenities there, as well as a local market Sunday mornings.
You are only a 20 minute drive away from Confederation Bridge (gateway to PEI), 30 minutes away from the New Brunswick/Nova Scotia border and just 25 minutes to the city of Moncton. Known as the Hub of the Maritimes due to its central location, Moncton has amazing shopping opportunities which include: Champlain Place, Atlantic Canada's largest mall and Bass Pro Shop (outdoor specialists with a 100,000 square foot store). Moncton also boasts Atlantic Canada's largest outdoor water theme park, Magic Mountain. Golfers will be happy to know they are less than a ten-minute drive to Pine Needles, a 36 hole golf course and within 30 minutes' drive of seven other golf courses including two championship courses, Royal Oaks and Fox Creek.
