There are many attractions in the area. The cottage is located close to the Village of Lion's Head with it's many stores and shopping located a 30 minute drive away. There is a nice sand beach at Blacks Creek (Sandy Beach) Provincial Nature Reserve only 20 km away. Bruce Peninsula National Park and the historic Village of Tobermory is only 40 minutes drive away. You will find hiking, boat tours ( to visit the famous Flowerpot Island) , and lots of little shops in Tobermory. A 45 minute walk or 10 minutes drive to the Bruce Trail will bring you to Devil's Monument , a large stone monument similar to the rock formations on Flower Pot Island.
Locally milled Eastern White Cedar trims the entire house including the 23 foot high, tongue-in-groove cathedral ceiling. Relax by the crackling fire of the wood stove on cozy evenings in the Spring and Fall. Summer time you can enjoy swimming in the beautiful clear water on your own private beach. The shoreline consists of a stunningly white pebble beach where one can view the cliffs of Georgian Bay. You can also view beautiful sunrises.
The kitchen offers all brushed aluminum appliances with a Jenn-Air downdraft glass top stove, and LG fridge with ice, water. A built in dishwasher and microwave complete the amenities. The carpeted master bedroom/sleeping loft on the second floor with 3 piece en-suite is large enough to accommodate a king sized bed with room to spare. There's also a balcony that overlooks the great room where you can lose yourself in a book on a daybed or use it as another sleeping area. Two more ample bedrooms with large closets share the main floor bathroom which has a tub enclosure with shower. Attractive slate tile cover the floors in both bathrooms, kitchen and foyer. The basement boasts 12 foot high ceilings, laminate flooring and a patio door that faces the water.
HDMI cable available where you can connect your laptop and play movies/youtube, etc. Tv downstairs has a roku box where you can play Netflix. No account needed as it is connected to it already!
