Norman's Landing is a renovated 4-season cottage on a quiet bay of Maple Lake in the Haliburton Highlands. It is so close to the water's edge you can hear the gentle lapping of the water. The fishing is great right off the dock. A guest caught a three foot long muskie! In winter the lake is well known for ice fishing. In summer the over sized dock is the place to sun yourself, watch the loons, or moor your boat. In winter enjoy proximity to snowshoe and cross country ski trails as well as downhill skiing at Sir Sam's. The cottage has spectacular sunrises and the beautiful large dock gets sun all day. At the back, a grassy area and a badminton net are just waiting for a game. The cottage is tastefully furnished. The open concept living room takes advantage of the lake view and has knotty pine walls and ceiling. The modern kitchen is well equipped, but note that there is no dishwasher. The bathroom is new and includes a shower but no bath. A spacious master bedroom has a high quality queen size bed, and a walk out to the deck overlooking the lake. The other two bedrooms are very small and are suitable for children or one adult. Both have a forest view. One has a double bed. The other has a single bed. The waterfront bunkie has a queen bed and small sitting area. It is open in summer only. A canoe, a row boat and a paddle boat are provided for the use of guests. We also have a swin mat. The kids will love it! Firewood for the fire pit and propane for the BBQ are included. In winter the use of two adult and two child snow shoes is included.

| Norman's Landing is a beautiful gem of the Algonquin Highlands! If you enjoy beautiful scenery, excellent fishing, fun and exciting things to do, and a warm and inviting cottage/atmosphere, look no further! Staying with family, this was a perfect place to get away from it all, relax, and enjoy nature and time together. Fishing is phenomenal - hooked (and sadly lost) my first musky right off the dock! And then a few hours later, caught my personal best pike (20lbs)! Enjoy the cottage, and relax at night watching the starry night at the firepit. Carolyn is an absolutely fantastic host, answered all of our questions and concerns right away, and checked in with us Sunday prior to leaving which was great to talk face-to-face and exchange stories! I'd rate higher than 5 stars if I could, and will definitely be staying many more times in future. Thank you again Carolyn!

Owner response: Hi Cory, I enjoyed chatting with you about fishing. Thanks for the photo you sent of the huge one you caught and thanks for doing catch and release so our lake stays well stocked. Looking forward to hosting you any time. | |

| Our family had an absolutely wonderful time at Norman's Landing cottage! Everything in the listing is as described but only better in person! Carolyn has provided everything you need to experience a relaxing and fun filled holiday in beautiful Haliburton. The dock is a tranquil place to just kick back and settle in while fishing off the dock or to jump into the lake, play on the water mat or take a ride around in the peddle boat. It's all there for you to enjoy! The duvets, the pillows, the beds, the sofa and love seat are all very well maintained and comfortable. The bunkie is really cute as well. Carolyn was quick to answer any questions. We can't wait to come back to Norman's Landing!

| We had stayed on Maple Lake before so knew we would love the area. The cottage was perfect for our family of four. It was clean, with nice appliances, and comfortable beds and furniture. The views of the lake from inside were lovely. We enjoyed the waterfront - the dock had sun all day and we checked out the sandbar a few times as well. Carolyn was a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to returning next year!

| If you're looking for a quiet getaway , fishing, or water sports, this Cottage has it all. Very clean and updated inside. Nicely tucked away at the North end of the lake in a small bay, great for using the supplied canoe, paddleboat or row boat. The host Carolyn & John were very accommodating Highly recommended . | Fantastic get away to Norman's Landing. Carolyn was fantastic all the way thru. Very nice to meet and chat with John too. Quick responses and lots and lots of great info provided for activities in the area. Not enough time. We need to come back.
Cottage has everything you need, is very clean and pictures are reflected accurately. Loved the view of the lake seen from many rooms in the open concept floor plan.
Enjoyed many morning and evening beverages on the dock. Such a beautiful atmosphere. Loons, birds orchestra, jumping fish and other wildlife a treat to experience.
