Waterfront

Fully renovated to the studs in 2018 and new to the rental market. Clean and modern cottage / chalet, equipped with everything you need!

This pet friendly cottage has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a 2 piece, private washroom. The second bedroom has a single-over-double bunk bed and an amazing view through a sliding patio door that leads to the deck and overlooks the water. The third bedroom is a single-over-single bunk bed.

The main washroom is a 3 piece with a spacious stand-up shower.

The 'great room' is an open concept, vaulted ceiling area that contains the L shaped kitchen, dining area that can seat 9 and living area with a 39" TV, electric fireplace and sofa-bed (equivalent of a double bed).

This property has your own waterfront on River Philip with east and west views so you have an amazing sunrise and sunset view each day. The cottage experiences all the changes of the tides and the sea life that goes with it; seals, eagles, pick mussels right off the beach for your dinner!

The cottage is on a quiet dead-end lane with only 9 other homes/cottages and there is a very large yard for the kids to play. The lane is slow and safe for the kids to explore on one of the bikes we provide. Beautiful Heather Beach Provincial Park is minutes away, many other beaches, golf courses and other beautiful locations in NS, NB and PEI are all easily reached with a day-trip.

Just down the road is a boat launch and beach area where seals and eagles hang out. The cottage is walking/biking distance to a lobster pound, restaurants and the best ice cream shop for miles! Travel 8 minutes to Pugwash for groceries, the farmer's market, bakeries, etc.

We stayed in the gray cottage here and as a wheelchair user, I must say I was very happy with the rental cottage on the water. Very cozy, clean & well laid out. A perfect quiet getaway spot. My only concern is to have a shower chair available and accessible as well as a portable ramp, possibly for the front entrance as well as the patio door as there is quit a drop from the patio door to the deck. Overall, awesome. Thanks again Becky & Wil

Thanks Roger! We appreciate your feedback and will consider buying a second ramp and the shower chair for our guests to use. We look forward to hosting you at our cottage again.

My friends and I stayed at the cottage for our annual reunion. It was AMAZING!

Upon arrival the cottage was very neat and tidy, and had everything we needed. BBQ worked great and had lots of propane, so no worries about running out.

The deck in the back had more than enough room for us to sit around and catch up before we started playing washer toss. The fire pit was nicely situated with a great view across the water, and not far from the back door. So a quick walk to the fridge for beverages!

Will definitely be looking to book next years reunion at this cottage as soon as I confirm the dates.

Thanks Rebekah.

Thanks for the great review, Brad! We are excited to be a part of an annual tradition, I look forward to your 2020 booking.

Our two nights at this sweet little cottage were not enough. We admired the little touches that made the cottage so homey and were amazed at how well equipped it was. You thought of everything!
Thanks so much for the emails. We felt like you were always close by!

Thanks Lynne, we are so happy that you had a good time and found what you needed. Please come back again!

Clean little cottage with lots of extra touches. The living space was a little ?tight? but using the cottage as a base to see the local sights is perfect. Deck looking across the River was lovely space to relax.

Thanks Alison! And thank you for sharing some of your photos to our Facebook page, we appreciate seeing the things that our guests have seen/done/experienced during their time at the cottages.

At the height of our visit to the cottage, we had two parents, three grandparents, two children under 5 and a dog all staying in this cottage. Despite the smallish footprint, we did not feel crowded. We were close to three different beaches, plus only a bit longer for trips to Oxford and Tatamagouche. Everything we could need was provided here. The shed is full of fun and useful beach toys and equipment, plus games that grandparents and grandkids alike can play. There is a beautiful view, and binoculars are a must if you are a birder! This is the first time we've rented a cottage, and we were very impressed all the way from booking to move-out.
