Fully renovated to the studs in 2018 and new to the rental market.

This pet friendly cottage has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a 2 piece, private washroom. The second bedroom has a single-over-double bunk bed and an amazing view through a sliding patio door that leads to the deck and overlooks the water. The third bedroom is a single-over-single bunk bed.

The main washroom is a 3 piece with a spacious stand-up shower.

The 'great room' is an open concept, vaulted ceiling area that contains the L shaped kitchen, dining area that can seat 9 and living area with a 39" TV, electric fireplace and sofa-bed (equivalent of a double bed).

This property has your own waterfront on River Philip with east and west views so you have an amazing sunrise and sunset view each day. The cottage experiences all the changes of the tides and the sea life that goes with it; seals, eagles, pick mussels right off the beach for your dinner!

The cottage is on a quiet dead-end lane with only 9 other homes/cottages and there is a very large yard for the kids to play. The lane is slow and safe for the kids to explore on one of the bikes we provide. Beautiful Heather Beach Provincial Park is minutes away, many other beaches, golf courses and other beautiful locations in NS, NB and PEI are all easily reached with a day-trip.

Just down the road is a boat launch and beach area where seals and eagles hang out. The cottage is walking/biking distance to a lobster pound, restaurants and the best ice cream shop for miles! Travel 8 minutes to Pugwash for groceries, the farmer's market, bakeries, etc.

My wife and i spent the weekend at the Grey cottage in the middle of September of this year. I can Honestly say that I have never had a more relaxing weekend than the one we spent there. It was so peaceful and quiet it was hard to think of anything else. The cottage itself was immaculate and very well stocked for what ever we needed and more. Internet was available but honestly never had much use for it. Time spent in the evening by the fire, listening to the ducks fly up and down the channel was the stuff only found in movies, or so i thought. The cottage was very easy to find and very close to just about anything you would need. My wife and I would 100% visit the area and stay at this cottage in the future.

Thank you, John! We are so pleased that you had a relaxing weekend and got to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. We look forward to having you back!

As our 50th wedding anniversary was coming up and not wanting a large family affair we decided it would be nice to rent some cottages for just our kids and grandkids for a week. Living in Moncton it was advantageous for our daughter-in-law to look around her area and she was the one who found the Blue and Grey cottages for rent. Being a family of 13 and a dog they were perfect for our purpose. My son Mike's family of 6 opted for the Grey cottage with the dog and the remainder of the clan in the Blue cottage and lovely bunkie. It was all we had expected and more. The kids had a ball from trumping in the mud at low tide to playing games and sitting at the campfire every night. Both cottages were very clean and well stocked with the necessities for preparing meals, entertainment, wi-fi, sleeping arrangments and bathrooms. We loved the IKEA furniture and early mornings sitting on the deck with a tea or coffee. We visited nearby beaches and the suspension bridge. It is only an hour drive to PEI, which we did for a day to the town of Cavendish visiting the amusement park, water park and shops. All in all it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend it to anybody.

Thank you for your review on our cottages, Paul. We were happy to be a part of your family gathering and were very excited to share some of your photos on our Facebook page. We would love to have you consider making this an annual tradition for your family. Please return soon.

We rented this wonderful home away from home for 2 weeks this summer. It was perfect for our needs. The layout was extremely conducive for our large family and dog. Having a bed for everyone, the ability to have our dog with us and space to come together and separate when need be made our holiday all that more memorable and relaxing. The large common area was perfect for family games, puzzle making and meals. The games, extra books for beach reading and nice touches throughout ensured we were never at a loss for something to do. The shed was well stocked and the beach blankets got a good use! There was a place for everything - a definite winner for making it easy to settle in and relax. The two bathrooms were nicely laid out and lots of good hot water! Location wise, it was easy to get to anywhere within 30 minutes - a beach within a 5 minute drive, local communities along the coast, access to seafood and the best and cheapest ice-cream a short walk away. Easy to get in and ample space for parking. Great sunset views and wonderful to watch the tide come in and out. Great and responsive service - from replacement towels, check-in and check-out. Local caretaker staff very personable and respectful. Every amenity was available and nice personal touches made a vacation stay that much nicer.

Thank you for taking the time to write us such a nice review, Jennifer! You were the first family to stay in this building for two weeks so we are especially glad to know that you, and your family, had a wonderful time and enjoyed the amenities of our cottage and the local area.

Get Away From It All and Yet Have It All! Having our family get together of 3 generations at the blue cottage was just perfect and as I discovered is even better than camping! I am hooked. The cabin, bunkhouse and shed were all so clean, updated, incredibly organized with unique features, fully stocked plus and still had lots of storage. Each time I thought of something that would be nice to have there it appeared in a drawer or on a shelf. They have thought of everything!!! I especially love the blend of the modern updates with some of the original character of the cottage. it reminds me of my childhood. The all new windows, doors, beds, couch, table, cabinets, wine cork shadow box, personalized shelf rocks from other guests, guest book, wall decor, family games and movies all show how much love and attention have been given to making this a great place to come to. Not to mention the quaint quiet towns nearby, the beautiful and calming views of this "ocean river" with the tides, red clay for mudding, and salt water creatures to discover. Using the bikes, having campfires and exploring the beaches were the boys favorite parts (besides going for ice cream). Other than packing food and clothes your toughest decisions will be whether you spend the day relaxing or exploring! They even have that covered with all their recommendations and guest info book. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did :)

Hi Jennifer, thank you so much for your note, we are pleased that you, your mom and your boys had a great time and were able to enjoy the area. We are proud that you appreciated the extra effort we have put into making the cottage a place that's easy to settle into and comfortable to be in. Let us know when you can come back!

We were going to Pugwash for a dance competition and were looking for a place to stay with our 4 children. The owners were so nice when we contacted them to ask few questions, we decided to rent the cottage for 3 nights! It's brand new, clean, quiet and so peaceful. The decor is absolutely amazing and the view is wonderful! They provide everything you need and even more! Even our little dog was more than welcome!
