| We had an amazing stay at this cottage! The house was very spacious and had plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably. The kitchen and bathrooms were newly updated and looked beautiful. The views were absolutely amazing, and we loved being able to use the kayaks right near the house. Overall, it was a perfect getaway and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

| Beautiful and spacious cottage to accommodate 9 adults. Great view on the Lake, especially at night with the fire pit. We had beautiful weather and did not feel we were stepping on each other's space. Suggest to bring your own pillow case. On site it was more decorative pillow covers.

| Our family of 8 enjoyed a week at this modern cottage in July 2025. The sunsets were beautiful! When we had good weather, that we could all eat outside on the deck and gather there. The cottage was spacious. Even in the rain, we all found space in the cottage. I would suggest a larger kitchen table that would seat 8. The beds were comfortable and our young children enjoyed the bunkee. Remember to bring a face cloth. The fire pit was a highlight at night to gather around. The shore is rocky so bring your water shoes. There are different activities near the cottage like The Singing Sands, the Grotto and boat rides in Tobermory. Contact with the owner was easy and he replied promptly. The Home of the Living Sunset is a place I would recommend to spend a vacation.

| Beautiful cottage and it was the perfect size for our group with lots of sleeping/bedroom options for everyone. The owners were easy to work with and answered all our questions quickly. Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen/living room combo was amazing as we do love to cook as a family. We loved the fire pit in the evenings and kayaking during the day.
The deck and the view are the stand out feature. Wow, we could not get over our beautiful this location is.
I will agree with the other reviewers that there are a lot of spiders but the location is perfect and secluded, that is a fair trade off in my opinion. Plus my niece loves spiders so we had a ton of fun all week. We would 100% stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends.

| Everything you need to know before renting this cottage:
- The bedroom with the two queens is on the basement (ground level). It is open concept so not a lot of privacy from the other guests if you are down there. Very spacious though and there is a very nice bathroom on this floor as well. - The second floor has a bedroom with a bathroom right beside it... which also feels like the main bathroom for the cottage. Our guests said it was hot... so bring a fan from home if you have one. - third bedroom is on the top floor - last bedroom is actually a private bunkie above the garage very nice for privacy and great breeze coming through both sides the guests will have to fight over this one!
The pros: - luxurious beds and private bedrooms - sunset and water views (amazing) - nice fire pit area - good sized fridge - huge deck with lots of seating
The cons: - Waterfront has very slippery rocks and is shallow pretty far out. There is definitely a risk of slips and falls if you aren't steady on your feet... or with kids. - LOTS OF SPIDERS WOW (hey, it's a cottage- but- be prepared) - the screen doors were a little rickety .. seems like they need to be fixed.. - if it is raining and you can't eat on the deck it is a little tight inside with a dinner table that only seats 4 - the neighbours are very close so you have to be inside by 11 so as not to disturb them, we felt nervous to even have a fire because we didn't want our voices to carry
