The cottage is just steps away from the beautiful beaches and famous sunsets of Lake Huron. Located in Port Franks the cottage is minutes away from the Pinery Provincial Park and a quick 15 minutes drive to Grand Bend. The Port Franks beach is a sandy very shallow beach area perfect for young children. Near by amenities include many golf courses, bike trails, and restaurants, variety, liquor and grocery stores. Port Franks has three boating marinas.
Our cottage at 7431 Dolway Drive is not on the waterfront but only a short 6 minute walk from public beach. There is a beach wagon availlable for renters to use. And for extra visitiors - there is angled parking along street next to public beach access.
This spacious, open concept cottage has 4 bedrooms and can easily sleep 12 -14 people. All bedrooms have individual fans. You must bring your own LINEN for beds.
The driveway can hold 4 vehicles. Please note: there are No parking signs on the street ,which municipality enforces!
The lower walk-out basement gives you access to a large back yard area which includes a firepit (with wood provided). Enjoy the summer sun in the front, side and rear deck or relax with a refreshment on the outdoor covered deck that was recently added to rear of cottage. This new outdoor room provides a sun sheltered area , an ideal spot to enjoy the outdoors.
Upstairs, the cottage includes a main floor laundry, 3 bedrooms, bathroom and open concept kitchen, dining and living room complete with a gas fireplace for the fall and winter seasons.
The finished walk out basement includes a separate tv area with dvd player , bar area with second full size fridge , a large bedroom with 6 single beds, a sofa bed for extra guests and second bathroom with shower - perfect for younger children and extended family!
The cottage has gas BBQ, 3 TVs with satellite internet, Wi-Fi available throughout the cottage, adriondack chairs at fire pit , outdoor patio furnishings and other amenities such as the use of 2 -adult bikes, a beach wagon, summer coolers and water jug, board games, books, a few kids beach toys, beach chairs etc.
The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee maker(including filters) , toaster, drink blender, pancake griddle, waffle maker, popcorn maker, frying pans, stock pot, wine glasses, patio plastic glasses, jugs, baking pans(muffin , cake, pie pans) electric beaters, bbq tools, grilling basket. Upstairs there is a designated wine fridge and on lower level a second full fridge to hold that cool watermelon and cold beer.
The laundry area is stocked with soap, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towells, garbage bags,flashlights, citronella candles,
There is a high chair, a couple of table booster seats, childs' outdoor plastic fireside chairs and a Little tykes picnic table for the youngsters. The driveway can hold four vehicles. Parking is not allowed on the street.
