This all-season cottage in the township of North Frontenac is situated on Mississagagon Lake, a hidden jewel in the heart of Eastern Ontario's cottage country. It's an idyllic setting for couples, friends and families who are looking to relax, have fun and appreciate the great outdoors. Mississagagon Lake is known as one of the premier headwater lakes in the Land O'Lakes region. The sparsely populated lake is entirely spring fed, making its clarity and cleanliness second to none. Once you boat, swim or fish on this spectacular lake, you will feel as though you've been transported to a lake in the far north. The cottage has a great open concept design that flows nicely from the kitchen, dining and living area. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide great views of the lake - a perfect setting to socialize and unwind any season of the year. On the main floor, the living room has comfortable seating, a soaring wood-burning fireplace, a 55' TV with cable and DVD player with surround sound. The master bedroom includes a queen size bed, ensuite bathroom, walk-in closet and sliding doors that lead to a private deck where you can sit and enjoy the view of the lake. There's a second bedroom with a queen size bed and another 3-piece bathroom. The dining area seats 8 people comfortably. The large kitchen (with adjoining laundry room) is fully-equipped with everything you need to make yourself feel at home. The sunroom has additional seating where you can enjoy the fresh air, even when it's raining. The spacious loft overlooking the lake provides additional sleeping space for up to 6 people, including a queen size bed, sofa bed and a single over double bunk bed.
For indoor activities, there's an assortment of board games, puzzles, books and DVD movies for all ages.
The outdoor area has an expansive deck with propane BBQ and patio furniture for dining al fresco. The large grassy front yard is flat for outdoor activities and easy water access. There are two picnic table for additional seating; a fire pit for a real Canadian cottage experience; Muskoka chairs and loungers for relaxing; and an assortment of lawn games.
With almost 200-ft of waterfront (shallow water entry), spend time in and around the pristine water. Provided for your enjoyment are 2 kayaks, a canoe and a non-motorized boat. Don't forget to bring your fishing rods, bait and license. Mississagagon Lake supports a warm water fishery, in particular; lake herring, yellow pickerel, northern pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass and pumpkinseed.
In the evenings, watch the stars come out and enjoy the darkest skies in southern Ontario. Fun fact is, that North Frontenac was the first municipality in Canada to receive Dark Sky Preserve status from the Royal Astronomical Society in Canada.
Local conveniences are within a 15 minute drive away: LCBO, Beer Store, grocery and convenience stores, emergency and medical services, gas station, restaurants, banking services and more.
There's a general notion behind the Township's slogan "Four Seasons, More Reasons". The expansive, natural, and undisturbed wilderness boasts a variety of outdoor activities:
- Explore the beaches, nature trails and park area at Bon Echo Provincial Park - Play golf at Hunter's Creek Golf Course - Attend an organized event at The Dark Sky Reserve observational pad - Visit the Land O' Lakes Rescue Petting Farm
Stay with us any season of the year and enjoy the natural beauty of Missassagagon Lake!

| My family had a wonderful and relaxing cottage experience at this clean and well-appointed lake home. The layout of the cottage is great for families, the beds are comfortable, and there is good water pressure in the showers. The kitchen had everything we needed and the short drive to town for more groceries was always a fun adventure. The lake is beautiful and the views from the cottage and the dock are so peaceful. Although there are neighbouring cottages, the property is very private and the bay was quiet during our two-week stay. The level yard was nice for outdoor games and there are a variety of places to sit outside. The lake was almost always calm and easy to navigate on the kayaks. There is an abundance of wildlife (including great fishing) on this lake. We enjoyed swimming in the bay also. There are weeds because it is a healthy lake, but you can navigate around them and also jump right off the dock and float around on an inflatable raft or mattress (we brought our own). The dock was our favourite place to be from sunrise to sunset, and we will definitely be coming back again next summer! This would also be a wonderful place to rent in the autumn. We look forward to our next stay!

| Our group had such a wonderful stay at Jason's cottage! The property was large and private, with a beautiful spacious house, lots of outdoor seating, and a great dock to lounge on. The house was clean, cozy, and renovated. There was lots to do; we enjoyed taking out the boat and we had a bonfire in the evening. The lake was absolutely stunning and large - the view was beautiful from the dock with gorgeous sunsets. All the important amenities were included and Jason was always available to assist us when we had questions. The only recommendation would be to look into an ant problem in the kitchen. I would highly recommend staying at Jason's cottage, we would definitely consider returning!

| This was my first time organizing a trip to a cottage for myself and some friends. And it was a wonderful experience!
Jason was very helpful and informative when planning the stay and the cottage itself was clean, spacious, had plenty of activities to offer, and all the necessary components for a comfortable cottage getaway. The scenery was gorgeous and there was plenty to do around the area.
Next time I'll have to plan a stay for longer!

| Our family had the most amazing and relaxing experience at this cottage. The outdoor setting and the lake view is beautiful and the house makes a gorgeous display in the night. The indoor setting was not only super accommodating for my large family, it was beautifully decorated and organized. The beds were very comfortable and all of the appliances were in working condition. I loved everything about this place. I would definitely recommend staying here.
