Love Love Love this cottage and the location. Rented in the winter and can I say it was so comfortable and inviting. From arrival to departure I felt like I was I felt spoiled with all the amenities but yet still in the wildness. We saw wild turkeys and deer walk thought the back yard while sitting in the hot tub enjoy a nice glass of wine!
The cottage fits 10 people comfortable and with 2 full bathroom it's perfect. What sold me on this beautiful oasis was the cleanliness and dinning table it also fits 10 comfortable and that's important to us as we were all able to sit together and create wonderful memories. I would like to THANK the FAULDS family for allowing my family to create amazing memories.
We will be renting this little piece of heaven again this summer to enjoy all the water activities, walking in the trail and the hot tub of course!

Thank you so much Diane. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our cottage and we look forward to seeing you sometime again this year!

We had such an amazing relaxing time at Northern Pines,.. from the beautiful nature trails nearby to the moon lit snowy lake view while soaking in the hot tub, this cottage has it all! It was extremely clean, the beds were comfy and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Lindsay was awesome to deal with and even had a decadent mocha cheesecake waiting for us in the fridge upon check-in. Northern Pines is an absolute gem of a cottage -- we are looking forward to coming back next winter... We may even book a week this summer!

I booked Northern Pines for a yearly Winter getaway with an old group of friends. We've stayed in some great cottages over the years, but this was a hands-down favourite for us all ? the most relaxing, the most memorable view from the hot tub, the homiest, and the nicest little touches. That's all about the tiny things that make a cottage stay great: amazing beds, the silkiest bedsheets; million-dollar views from the top floor master; little nooks all over the house; a kitchen perfectly stocked with not only the basics, but also napkins, various coffees, a gigantic roast tray ? anything we needed, really! Then there were the bath robes for the hot tub; towels galore; scented candles; a TV with all the streamers... Add to this the location on the shores of Stoney Lake, the views from the kitchen, and you have a perfect combo. But the nicest little touches are human. Lindsay was there to greet us and give us a walkabout in person and suddenly announces she had baked us a welcome cheesecake, which was not only delicious, but looked like it came straight out of the pages of a magazine. We were so impressed, and set up for a great weekend.

A huge thank you and shout out to Lindsay for letting us rent this amazing cottage. Everything was smooth when dealing with Lindsay right down to every transaction. She was quick on the emails and text messages when we had a question for her. There were 10 of us ladies that just needed to get away from reality for a weekend and this sure did the trick. Cottage is stunning, Absolutely immaculate so clean. Hot tub was an added bonus, we may have even taken the paddle boat out...brrrr. The only thing I would like to suggest is maybe bigger pans and a few more would be perfect. Other than that all is perfect and we will see you next near.

Owner response:
Thanks again for your feedback Christina, it is always appreciated. We have stocked the kitchen at Northern Pines with many new large pots and pans, and larger serving dishes to accommodate bigger crowds. Cheers :)

We loved our stay at Northern Pines Cottage and hope to go back again next year. Easy access to the water and love that equipment for water activities were provided ( ie. Canoes, paddle boards, paddle boat). Lots of room on the deck for eating or relaxing and hot tub was a highlight! Clean inside, good size rooms, upper rooms are more shared space/open but worked fine for us as all family. Lindsay was great at responding to any questions. We love the kawartha area and the cottage is close to nice trails and parks.
