Fox Lake - Huntsville, Muskoka, Ontario
Grey Fox Cottage is situated on beautiful Fox Lake in Huntsville. The property has lots of beach area for children to play with a shallow entry into the lake to add to its appeal.
This cottage has an open-concept combined kitchen and dining room area with large windows looking out onto the lake. The living room has a comfortable couch and some occasional chairs to sit back and relax in. There's a big screen smart TV with IPTV and a DVD player. Off the living room is the large, screened Muskoka room that makes a ideal gathering space, with ample seating for all. This is a wonderful spot for taking in the beautiful lakeside view while engaging in a board game, casual chat or enjoying a light meal.
The newly renovated kitchen is well equipped with the conveniences of home, including dishwasher, fridge, stove, coffee maker, and microwave. Guests will enjoy fabulous feasts at the dining table with a lakeview. The large dining table will certainly inspire memorable get-togethers, family conversations and good food.
There are three cozy bedrooms, the main floor master bedroom has a king bed (wheelchair accessible), the top floor bedroom has a queen bed, and the lower level bedroom has a queen bed and a single over double bunk. A spare bed (single) is also located at the top of the stairs on the second floor when needed, -- not included in the bedroom count.
The main bathroom is located on the main floor and the shower stall is wheelchair accessible. The laundry room is conveniently located off the bathroom on the main floor. A half bath ensuite is located off the upstairs bedroom.
Stepping outside there is a pathway with stairs leading to the gradual and grassy sloped area down to a marvellous large, private, sandy beach with Muskoka chairs to lounge on. This is the ideal spot for the kids to work on their sand castles and sculptures. The shoreline is perfect for young children, the water is shallow and only two feet deep at the end of the 40ft dock. The dock is in full sun most of the day.
Other outdoor activities include a fire pit (including seating for up to eight) located at the back of the cottage and a horseshoe pit, (depending on the water level).
Take the canoe, one of 3 kayaks, or the aluminum row boat out to explore the lake and try your hand at fishing for your dinner! (There is a pontoon boat docked at the cottage, please do not board the boat or use it for seating).
**This cottage is wheelchair accessible with a ramp deck to the entrance.
** May occasionally sleep up to 8 people - 6 Adults, 2 Children. Please inquire.
**Check-in: after 4:00pm and Check-out: before 10:00am
**Vacationer supplies their own linens: Sheets and pillowcases + Inside towels, kitchen towels and beach towels. Please inquire about other arrangements.
**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.
**Some adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children's life jackets due to safety and liability concerns.
