Grandview Lake, Baysville, Lake of Bays, near Algonquin Park
Grandview Lake is located between the popular villages of Baysville and Dorset. Grande Vista is the perfect location for families who enjoy the kind of relaxed and peaceful vacation experience only found on the region's smaller lakes. Cute-as-a-button and recently renovated throughout, this lovely cottage has been in the same family for over 40 years. Comprising 1200 square feet of living space situated on a long, level ½ acre lot that stretches down to a lovely shallow shoreline, Grande Vista boasts four bedrooms and a capacity to sleep 8 guests.
Set back from the easy-to-access waterfront (the cottage is connected to the water by a pleasant stone pathway), this pleasantly decorated traditional cottage offers ample room to entertain and have loads of fun. Its well-appointed kitchen is the perfect place to prepare those memorable cottage meals. In addition to its quality appliances including a dishwasher, it also boasts a teapot (a must for tea drinkers!), coffeemaker, griddle for making perfect pancakes, and a kitchen island with seating for four. Additional dining for up to eight guests is located in the adjoining Muskoka Room.
Just steps away from the kitchen, the living room is an easy place to relax after meals and take in a little satellite TV or a movie from the on-site DVD library. The living room offers comfortable seating for up to five guests.
Grande Vista's four bedrooms sleep up to eight guests.
Two bathrooms are also available. The first between the main floor bedrooms is a three-piece with a tub / shower. The second, two-piece, is located between the two bedrooms on the upper level.
The large Muskoka room lake-side is a terrific addition to cottage living. Offering splendid views over Grandview Lake, it includes a pine dining table that easily seats eight, along with a comfortable lounge area for three. Stretching the width of the cottage, this 24 ft. long room is the fabulous place to hang out together and play one of the multitude of board games provided, or to simply kick back and enjoy the lake breeze and tranquil views.
There's no end of fun things to do outside too! There's a newly added deck on the lakeside with a dining table and BBQ. As its name suggests, Grande Vista's 40ft of waterfront consist of a large sandy beach that's simply perfect for kids of all ages. The water approach itself is sandy-bottomed, making it easy to wade out to the deeper water beyond the 20 ft. long dock for serious swimmers to enjoy. Located on a large, sweeping and peaceful bay, it's also a great lake for water toys. These include one adult and one children's SUP, paddleboat, canoe and rowboat (the latter perfect for fishing), as well as two kayaks.
Sun worshippers won't be disappointed either. In addition to the many hours of sun available on the sandy shoreline, the long protruding dock enjoys sunshine all day long. Here you can catch a sunset, or to do a little stargazing. Another fun place come nightfall is the fire pit with its adult and kid-sized Muskoka chairs. Other outdoor activities include a volleyball net (it also lowers to make a great badminton net).

**Paper products: The cottage will provide 2-ply toilet paper, (please do not use anything heavier - to safe guard the septic system). Vacationers must supply their own, paper towels.
