Welcome to this three bedroom waterfront cottage in Portage du Fort. The cottage is on the Ottawa River, above the dam, ten minutes from the town of Renfrew, Ontario (approximately one hour from Ottawa). After a day on the trail, kick back and enjoy a campfire, watch the stars and play board games. FEATURES: A large wrap around veranda where you can enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset. An infinity deck and dock for boats; the free launch area is 200 meters away. Amenities such as linen, pillows, towels, toiletries, paper towels, dish soap, propane, etc... are provided and included in the cost of the rental. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a Keurig coffee maker and a regular one. You won't need to bring pots and pans, paper plates, etc. This cabin sleeps up to 7. There is a queen size bed, two sets of bunk beds: double/ single and single/single.

Whitewater rafting just up stream, accessible by boat or car.

| This is a great cottage in a fantastic location, very private and very quiet, clean, comfortable beds and furniture, right on the water. The waterside deck is perfect for morning coffee or reading, and the finger pier for swimming or launching kayaks is in a calm, sheltered part of the lake. The owners were thoughtful and responsive.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that the cottage is accessible for people who use walking assistance devices. There is one step onto the deck around the base of the cottage and one step into the cottage itself. Inside the house, the floors are level, no threshold strips, and a rug in the living room that could be rolled up (ask the owners). The circular driveway and walkways to the upper deck and firepit are gravel -- no slippery mud. The footpath down to the waterside deck is somewhat steep, however, so we suggest hiking poles, a walking stick, or a helper for those who need it.

| Un endroit vraiment fantastique et facile d'accès.
Tout a bien été pensé et les propriétaires sont d'une très grande gentillesse et très attentionnés.
Les couchées de soleil sont magnifiques.
La cuisine est très bien équipée pour tout ce dont nous pourrions avoir besoin.
Le chalet est d'une propreté impécable.
Je conseille cet endroit à toute personne voulant trouver un endroit paisible et accueillant.
Bref, je le recommande fortement.
