Secluded year round cottage on beautiful Kingsford Lake! This private cottage offers scenic views of Frontenac Provincial Park making it the perfect escape from the city. In the summer months enjoy swimming off our dock, canoeing, kayaking, campfires, hiking, or just admire the view from the elevated deck. At night enjoy the fresh air on the screened in porch. With 3 bedrooms and a bunkie it sleeps 8 people comfortably.
In winter you can snowshoe through the provincial park right across from the cottage. A 20 minute drive to the main entrance of the Park has groomed cross country skiing trails of varying difficulty. There are also snowmobile trails a short drive from the cottage. For those who like to just relax you can enjoy the beautiful view in front of the gas fireplace in the inviting living room.

The Space
The cottage sleeps 6 people inside comfortably in 3 separate bedrooms. There is room for 2 more guests in the bunkie which is an insulated structure with an electric fireplace and a space heater to keep you warm during the winter, and an AC unit for the summer. The main cottage is also equipped with Air Conditioning (installed 2020) for those hot summer days.
The living area is open to the kitchen and the dining room. Perfect for enjoying time with family and friends! The master bedroom has a king size bed and half bath en-suite. The second bedroom has a loft bed as well as a queen bed. The third bedroom has a queen bed. The main bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The bunkie has one king bed and a double bed as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and tableware you will need! You can also enjoy a paddle in our canoe or two kayaks that are available to you.
The cottage has a gas fireplace inside and 2 outdoor fire pits, one beside the cottage and one down by the water. We provide firewood.
Location
The cottage is across from Frontenac Provincial Park, making it very private. There is good swimming and fishing for Bass and Perch in Kingsford lake. There are only a handful of cottages on this part of the lake making it very quiet. There is a boat launch very close by which is owned and maintained with the park. Best to check with the park regarding the specific boat you plan to launch to determine suitability.
There are hiking trails into pristine Frontenac Provincial Park just a short walk down the road from the cottage. The town of Westport is a 20 minute drive away for any supplies you may need. The cottage is located a 3 hour drive from Toronto, 1.5 hours from Ottawa and 45 minutes from Kingston.
In winter you can snowshoe through the park right by the cottage. There are also groomed cross country ski trails at the main entrance to the park, a 20 minute drive from the cottage.
WiFi
The cottage has limited WiFi which works for emailing and browsing, but isn't suitable for streaming. Rogers and Fido customers have a good signal at the cottage. There is no Bell cell service.
We have satellite TV, a DVD player, and an XBOX with plenty of movies and games.
The cottage is serviced with well water which is suitable for drinking.
