This property is a vacation dream come true! Tucked into old and stately evergreens, scattered with maple and birch trees, this 5 bedroom cottage is the perfect spot. The cottage is placed to take advantage of the spectacular views of Lake Kawagama. With 3 levels of living space, family and friends can either spread out for some quiet time with a book or gather in the great room, kitchen, or game room to spend time together. Every inch of the cottage was designed and built by our family; a true a labour of love! The open-concept living/ dining/kitchen area have extensive windows offering plenty of natural light. Well-appointed and handsomely decorated, the great room emanates comfort and ease. The two-story natural stone fireplace with pine mantle, is a striking centerpiece and draws everyone in on cooler summer evenings.
Enjoy cooking in the chef's kitchen with modern stainless steel appliances and plenty of granite countertops for prepping meals together. Gather around the over-sized kitchen island and share stories with the family on the day's adventures while preparing meals, morning, noon and night. There are two harvest tables: one indoors and one outdoors, both with seating for 10. The spacious upper deck offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy family meals and the warm summer breeze with regular visits from beautiful butterflies and humming birds.
The generously sized master bedroom is on the main level, just off of the main living area. It has a 4-piece ensuite bathroom, complete with a soaker tub and separate rain-head shower, as well as its own private deck. There is another 2-piece bathroom on this level, just off of the main entrance foyer.
There are 2 spacious bedrooms and a 3-piece bathroom on the upper level. On the lower level, you will find the games room as well as 2 more bedrooms with private walkouts to the main deck and another 3-piece bathroom.
Both the great room on the main level and the lower level game room make it easy for the entire family to relax together or apart. The expansive main level has plenty of seating and space to watch a movie, play board games, or simply enjoy the beautiful view. The lower level games room features a professional ping-pong table and wood-burning stove.
From the lower level there is a direct walk-out to the lake-facing 1,000 sq. ft. deck, which features plenty of comfortable sitting space, and views of some of the properties most beautiful trees, truly a marvel in the fall months. From here there is access to a sunny lawn and the path leading to the lake. There is a hammock for mid afternoon naps and relax while reading a book. We built the granite stone path ourselves, paying meticulous attention to preserving the beautiful natural landscape; visitors will notice beautiful mature green moss and native foliage. Further along the path, you will find a small shaded deck (it's the perfect place to lounge and listen to friends and family swim below). A wide staircase will then take you to the spacious dock. The views are breathtaking and as the dock is situated on the furthermost point of the surrounding properties; there are unobstructed lake views. A large fire pit area ideally situated near dock, it awaits you each night to roast marshmallows or simply enjoy the warmth of the fire while watching the moon shine on the water surrounded by a sky filled with stars.
The early morning mist and beautiful sunsets are a photographer's dream come true. You can spend hours relaxing by the water or diving off of the dock, and there is plenty of sporting/game water equipment to enjoy.
Kawagama Lake has great fishing with lake trout, small mouth bass and even plenty of rock bass.
Enjoy runs on the quiet back roads. Take a day trip into the quaint town of Dorset with wonderful locally-owned cafés, bakery, ice cream parlour, and grocery store. The Dorset Scenic Lookout is also definitely worth checking out. Algonquin Park is a short drive away and offers over a dozen day trails (the Track & Tower is our family's favourite).
Whether you choose to spend your days exploring the lake, sunning on the dock, reading a favourite book, or enjoying some well-deserved spritzes, you will cherish the time spent here for years to come!

| 10 of us spent a wonderful week here. The pictures don't capture how amazing this property is. There is more than enough space for everyone and the amenities are endless. I am a frequent cottage renter and I've never encountered a place this well stocked. We really appreciated it! The drive in from the main road takes some getting used to (narrow with lots of hills), but it is so worth it. We hiked at Algonquin, did yoga on the deck, and spent time in the water and on the water. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us!

| What an absolute gem is this cottage. The winding road from just outside Dorset to get to the cottage is something I have embraced now after renting here the last two summers - 2021 and 2022. First off, the owners are wonderful and the attention to detail they have given in the construction, the furnishings, and the kitchen is fantastic. What an absolute treat it has been for our family. So much so we are coming back here in 2023.

| Our family of 6 adults and 3 children aged 6 to 12 years spent a wonderful week enjoying the many amenities of this immaculate, modern well maintained cottage. While the large well stocked kitchen, multiple eating areas indoors and out, and two large living/entertainment areas, facilitated shared meals and fun family times, the 5 bedrooms on 3 separate floors and multiple decks with comfortable seating provided areas for quieter relaxation/rest. The dock, reached by several flights of well designed and landscaped stairs, provided deep water access to the lake and to the canoes, kayaks and paddle boards whose popularity (with adults and children) was only surpassed by that of the large ?lily pad?. Only a few minor recommendations might improve the experience: multiple wall hooks in bedrooms where closet space is limited, curtains or blinds that can darken the early rising sun in all bedrooms, a clothes line area for wet suits or towels to limit the need to use deck bannisters. The owners were professional and pleasant to deal with, committed to ensuring our time there was all that we had hoped for.

| Spectacular!! I know this cottage looks great in the pictures but honestly, they do not do it justice. The cottage itself is as near perfect as I could imagine and the setting is an absolute gem. Kawagama is a beautiful lake - gorgeous shoreline and soft blue-green water - much nicer than Lake of Bays. Back to the cottage - very spacious with one of the greatest kitchens I have ever had the pleasure to use. We were there during very hot muggy weather and the cottage, despite no air conditioning remained quite comfortable. The lower level was a sensational hangout place for kids. Our group ranged from 9 to mid 50's and it was perfect for everyone. The hosts were very responsive and clearly take great care of both their property and their responsibilities as rentees. We rent every year and I am not sure it would be possible to top this magical spot. What you don't see in the pictures is the beautiful landscaping and wildflower gardens. We can't thank our hosts enough for a perfect getaway!! Highly recommend!!

| We had a great time at Valentyna spectacular cottage. It's clean, luxurious, spacious, and relaxing. The lake was quiet and the cottage is surrounded by mature trees. the cottage has everything to keep everyone entertained at all times.
