Come and unwind on a private peninsula with water surrounding you on 3 sides. Located at the end of a dead end lane on the south east shores of Prince Edward County, Peaceful Peninsula may be just the waterfront get away you are looking for. Tranquil and surrounded by wildlife. We have lovingly renovated every room in the 2 bedroom cottage and the bunkie too! Featuring a hot tub and outdoor shower with scenic views, wood stove, 2 outdoor fire pits and a games room with large screen tv, Nintendo Switch, ping pong and darts. We provide everything for a wonderful stay:firewood, linens, towels and and a well stocked kitchen with spices, oil, sugar, Nespresso machine with pods, and pluck tea. Our cottage began as two fishermen's cabins in 1905. Anglers from the USA and Canada came to fish the plentiful waters of Smith's Bay. Over the years new owners merged the two small cabins into one larger cottage and then in October 2018 we purchased and completely renovated what we now call Peaceful Peninsula. Extravagantly large windows in the living room allow you to take in 270 degree water views. The spacious deck feels as though you are floating on the bay. Swans and ducks swim right by. The hot tub is located on the deck off the primary bedroom so you can easily slip in and watch the sun or moon rise above the water. The primary bedroom has a dreamy king sized bed where you can take in the amazing sunrises without lifting your head from your pillow. Our cottage is a perfect honeymoon destination or retreat for couples looking for a private getaway. Summer guests will enjoy the long days, warm calm waters, awesome sunrises and sunsets. Fall guests will enjoy seeing the migrating ducks return to Smith's bay in vast numbers. Last fall there were regularly flocks of 1000 Redheads, Mallards, Goldeneyes, Buffleheads, etc. You will also enjoy the flames flickering in the woodstove, or if you like turn on the radiant in-floor heating newly installed throughout each room of the cottage! Winter guests will enjoy the quiet beauty of snowfall on the bay with spectacular views. We provide a SUP, 2 kayaks, a canoe, and lifejackets for you to enjoy the beauty of the bay! The fishing is amazing. Don't forget to pack a fishing rod and let the kids catch fish right off the dock. Please note MAX 4 adults plus children under 11.

| Our family spent a week in July that was absolutely wonderful. It was almost like being at a resort except there are no crowds and you have to prepare your own food. Rachel and Ken have put so much thought and effort into outfitting the cottage with practically everything we might need and they were so attentive to ensuring we weren't wanting for anything once we'd arrived. I can't thank them enough for sharing this oasis with us even if just for a week. We'll definitely be back.

| Amazing cottage - pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful views, water is shallow and great for swimming for the kids. Hosts were very responsive to all of our questions / needs. Will be returning next year!

| Wow is the only way to describe this beautiful oasis. As per the other reviews, the photos don't do it justice. Rachel was an incredible host and always replied promptly. We loved the lounger at the end of the peninsula; the sunsets were amazing. We had everything we needed and more. Loved the hot tub and the outdoor shower.. wanting to have one at my house now . The location was so perfect and we loved everything about the cottage. Can't wait to stay here again!

| This cottage is truly in an amazing, unique area. Incredible view, tons of windows in every direction, such a cool space! Also, very clean, and Rachel was really great to work with.
This review would likely be 5 stars in the summer, but in the winter it's not the most convenient location. It can be incredibly windy, which causes snow (from the lake and surrounding area) to blow and pile up right in the driveway, even when it's not snowing. It literally creates a barricade and you can't get in or out. Rachel had someone come and plow when we needed to get out, but it made getting to/from the cottage on windy days pretty challenging. Also, just an fyi to future renters, there's no central heat - the floors in all the rooms (except the bathroom) are heated. The heated floors are lovely on the feet, but the air can get chilly - would highly suggest bringing space heaters!
Overall we had a lovely few days away. Rachel - thanks for everything!
